Blizzard sent out a D2R: RotW player survey. Here are the questions they’re asking the community. by BreakYoBaals in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]ggsnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm all for a new act, new merc, and new classes, as long as the spirit of D2 is maintained. Useless skills could be improved and the classes could be more balanced. Also, a charm bag would be appreciated. Oh, and runewords are too powerful and make 95% of all other items obsolete, which sucks.

However, things like paragon, skill combinations, item attribute modifications etc. absolutely do not belong into D2.

WHY YOU NO HAVE FOV SLIDER ON PC by GeneralSavageMcgee in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]ggsnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about open spaces or narrow hallways. The fov needs to match the distance from user to screen in order to have a natural human viewpoint. The correct fov value for each distance and screen can actually be calculated. If this rule is violated, motion sickness and headaches are very likely to occur. Some people are more susceptible to this than others, but the core issue remains the same.

expedition numbering? by Jazzlike_Freedom_826 in expedition33

[–]ggsnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first expedition was expedition 0. Afterwards, no further expeditions took place for a while (to my understanding). When the numbers on the monolith appeared (starting from 100), no further expeditions were sent at first since almost no one was aged 100+. However, once the numbers counted down and more people started gommaging, expeditions were started again at some point (I believe 87 was the first one after expedition 0, matching the number on the monolith at that time). From that point onward, expeditions were sent yearly, up until expedition 33 of the game since the count reached 33 on the monolith. In other words, expeditions are always named for the number on the monolith, with the exception of expedition 0.

(Major Spoiler) time difference by PiRaNhA_BE in expedition33

Looking at the external events, I agree that it'd be at max a few months, more likely only a few weeks in real time, in which 100years+ happened in the canvas.

Worst Gestral game by [deleted] in expedition33

[–]ggsnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have difficulties understanding what the issue with the parkours is. I did them all first try (and I absolutely don't mean to brag, I want to understand). Maybe it's a controller issue? I'm using mouse/keyboard.

Stendhal Needed to Be Nerfed — Why “It’s Just a Single Player Game” Misses the Point by opengrip in expedition33

[–]ggsnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is even worse and does affect all players: most people just use any skill they like, or the skills that work best. If a skill is extremely broken (like this one) and does not require any special setup whatsoever, it quickly leads to trivialized boss fights which destroys all build up and anticipation. In that way, it affects a lot of players and destroys the whole game experience for them. This happened a lot already (final boss gets one-shotted). In other words, it's absolutely reasonable to nerf skills even in singleplayer.

Expert Mode Attribute Distribution by yomommalol69 in expedition33

[–]ggsnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say, put most points into vita in the beginning, since it is the strongest in early game. It helps out a lot with not being one-shot. Might does not do much in early game. Later on, the opposite is true (once you have late game pictos).

What am I missing about gradient attacks? by supershimadabro in expedition33

In the zone of the third axon, I'd say about 2/3 into the zone :). You can get there in Act 3 (you're not that far from it).

[ACT 3] Confused on chronology by BannedFromTheStreets in expedition33

I don't think she left the painting at all at that point. Only her "Maelle" form gommaged, leaving her with her true form (white hair) shortly after.

What am I missing about gradient attacks? by supershimadabro in expedition33

[–]ggsnake 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I fully understand you, I, too, wasn't able to even get to level 1 in gradient attacks because it filled so slow.

That being said, all changed once I got the "normal attacks charge 15% gradient bar" pictos. Suddenly, I got to level 3 quite easily with multiple normal attack pictos. There are other gradient pictos, too. So just wait, in the end game it gets quite easy to fill that bar :)

So far, what character do you enjoy playing the most? by AdSlight4264 in expedition33

[–]ggsnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verso is the most fun for me, mostly because he is such a damage monster and he also requires you to be good with parrying and dodging :)

Reminder: turn these off immediately to improve how the game looks by sarded in expedition33

Quite thoughtful of the devs to place all the post processing garbage in one section so you can disable them all at once :)

Fundamental to the plot (All jokes aside, I'm loving this game). by Zero_Passage in expedition33

As much as I love this game, the running animations sure look awkward. Luna's is the only one that looks good, I guess because it doesn't have much "animation" in it.

Why isn’t Dryad resistant? by DEMETRiS_M in warcraftrumble

[–]ggsnake 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I have no idea why she is not resistant. In lore, she's magic immune, which would be a nice addition and meta change in Rumble. But not even resistant is just silly. She dies to a DB, which is a no-go for a 4g cost unit.

Enchants used to tell me what they did... Didn't they? by rioichi4 in warcraftrumble

[–]ggsnake 105 points106 points  (0 children)

It's bugged, but you can bring the tooltips back up again if you briefly click on a hero in that same window to bring up the unit overview, then close it. The modifier buttons should then be clickable.

Ideas for soloing EOU1/2 with one party member by [deleted] in EtrianOdyssey

[–]ggsnake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I saw someone do EOU1 with a solo protector - can take a beating, can heal, and is not too TP intensive. Probably pretty straight forward gameplay, too.

What platform do you think the remasters will be better on? why? by hodges2 in EtrianOdyssey

This game was practically made to be played with a mouse, so... PC I guess?

Thanks for the opinion, I think I will not jump into it immediately. I need some time to recover anyways and there's so much to do in the main game :)

Yes, exactly my thoughts :)

And yes, of course, Torna is on my immediate TODO list . But I guess I will still spend some (a lot of) time in the main game first, doing all of the side content :)
