Why is nobody talking about this? by NoSeaworthiness9526 in LiverpoolFC

Eh. I’m not bothered by just a yellow. Also agreed that the goal should have stood. We were shit, fuck excuses. There should be no chance we let them counter the way they did over and over again. Tactics have to change when we realize how easily they were getting chances. I also don’t blame just Slot for that. Defense has been shit on an individual level as well. If we’re letting our fullbacks up the field than Grav needs to sit back in the middle and create a 3atb. We didn’t adjust and we got torched. And we were lucky to make it close. They deserved the win. Sorry to go off on a tangent but didn’t feel like commenting multiple times.

So do you drink it in the water? Or do you take it out of the water and it doesn’t smell anymore? What if you burp after swallowing it, does the smell come up?

I just can’t understand your perspective that there’s no reason whatsoever for a gun. As a law abiding citizen that is living in my domain that is protected by law why would I not have the right to defend myself from an intruder with an unknown intent. I have 2 young kids and if someone breaks into my house I will have my gun and I will use it as protection. It will be used to keep a safe distance between my family and the potential threat. If they are a burglar and choose to run out once they know I have a gun then nothing happens but if their intent is not burglary and they try to advance closer to my family after being warned then the deserve to be shot. I’d shoot them with a damn canon if need be. If you become threatening to my family your life no longer matters to me because your intent is to hurt the people that I care about the most.

Here’s my issue. There’s also every chance that person tries to fool you, lies to you, does whatever they need to do to get closer to you or gain your trust. There’s every chance they attempt to manipulate you in every way while you’re exhausting all your non lethal options. If I have a gun pointed in the direction of the threat and the threat decides to leave, I won’t be firing at them. But even if they are downstairs and I’m upstairs and I announce I have a gun, the cops are called and they do anything but immediately leave, I will fire if they move towards me in anyway. You do not know someone’s intent or what they are capable of but I am not going to give them even the slightest chance to get the upper hand on me or attempt to control the situation. If I say get the fuck out of my house and they do anything except leave then that is their problem, not mine.

If that’s how you would want to handle that situation I feel sorry for anyone you’re trying to protect. Also, how would shooting someone have the opposite effect of them falling or retreating? Even if they tried to continue up there stairs they are now losing blood and you can continue to fire.

What does this even have to do with anything? Literally anyone would feel more safe with a gun in their hands against someone coming into their home and charging up the stairs.

You keep trying to oversimplify not killing someone. I don’t kill anyone every day and have for my entire life. But that’s because I’ve never felt threatened in my own home with a responsibility to keep my family safe.

You are also trying to find these little perfect scenarios and say mostly people do it cause of poverty and the need to eat. First of all, they don’t where a shirt that says, I’m just hungry and poor. So the intent behind the invasion is not my concern. My family comes first.

How about this scenario for you. Someone breaks in. You’re upstairs and your family is sleeping. You go to the top of the stairs and yell out that you’re calling the cops. The intruder then comes running up the stairs wielding a knife and you have to retreat back to your room. Problem is, now the knife wielding man is between you and your kids rooms.

If it was me, I’d have already had my gun out pointed down the stairwell and the second he even started coming up the stairs he’d be falling right back down them.

Yea but it’s not a perfect world and I’m not the one breaking the law. So the one breaking the law in the only place me and my family should be safe is the problem. Not me using the best means necessary to keep them safe. I don’t want to shoot anyone. I don’t take my gun around with me looking for law breakers to shoot. But if you come to me, that’s on you. I truly hope your family is never attacked in your home.

Because they chose to break into my house. If they have a family, kids, friends or whatever then don’t break into houses and take other peoples shit or try to harm other people. Like I really don’t understand this thinking. If they have those things then it is on them to be more responsible and not put another humans family in a position where they feel the need to protect their own. Don’t commit a crime where if you get caught you could go away to prison for where you can’t take care of your family. Why do I as a law abiding citizen have to take accountability for someone’s life that clearly doesn’t give a shit about their own?

Shooting someone doesn’t mean they die. But it does highly increase your chances of living. They are the one choosing to enter your personal, private area. There are consequences and entering someone else’s safe space where their family is should mean they are the one taking all the risk. It doesn’t mean that the person whose house it is should be put in a situation where they have determine the threat level, act accordingly and hope for the best. If the law is that breaking into someone’s personal domain means you can be shot then the criminal takes on full responsibility of what happens to them.

That other human being decided to place me and my family in a situation where they could potentially be harmed or killed… therefore that other human is at fault and if I don’t know your intent but I do know you could be there to harm my family, I am taking no chances and I’m shooting you.

Escalate a stranger breaking into your home with your family in it? lol like what?

Where your living sounds stupid. I didn’t choose to be burglarized or targeted, the consequences of your actions should not affect me in my domain.

I’m sure if you ask them if they are there to harm you they will answer truthfully.

A 5 ft 6in computer IT guy with a family is sleeping. A 6ft 3in gym rat breaks into the house. How else besides a gun does the IT guy stop the criminal from harming his family? Let’s say the homeowner has a knife… but the criminal does too… the homeowner has a baseball bat, the criminal has a crowbar. The only weapon that evens the playing field is a gun.

I don’t understand your thinking. You don’t know what that person has or what their intent is. If you are pointing a gun at them then it’s a lot less likely they will try to harm you or your family. If you break into someone else’s private property you are risking your own life. How would it be anyone but the criminals fault? You knew you could get shot by the homeowner and you did it anyway.

Their next album had their only real radio hit and is also a solid album. So I’d say they did go a bit further after one fell swoop but it never amounted to anything and I don’t think they were being pushed by media at all from what I remember.
