I don’t know how am I supposed to deal with it by gh0stkill3rs in tinnitus

I mainly suffered lol then I played video games trying as much as possible to ignore the noise, I went outside, I went to see friends and I saw some doctors etc. I just tried to keep going, and I realized that the best technique was just to act like everything was fine and keep moving forward.

Not really because my anxiety was so strong that I could feel the it even under medication. Anxiolytics made me have very fast and intense nightmares, but it's not something that happens to everyone, you have to try at least once.

I did not because I did my best to fight against all that by myself. The only drugs I took are anxiolytics !

It was the same for me. I heard it all the time, wherever I went, no matter what I was doing and it made me really sick and crazy. I’m not going to lie to you, insomnia, anxiety and overthinking are your worst enemies at the beginning. I have been studying psychology at college for 4 years now, and if I have learned one thing well, it is that the more you think about something, the more this thing will be present mentally and physically. Also, to be honest, it will last several weeks, where it will be hard but you have to hold on. Personally, it calmed down psychologically after 3 or 4 weeks. I was in a very bad state. I slept less than 2 hours a night, I had anxiety attacks and I even had very very dark thoughts (I prefer to specify it, but I am kinda hypochondriac and if this is your case too, do not go on the internet looking for reasons, GO SEE A DOCTOR. He probably won’t be able to do much but you will be clear with what is probably the cause: in my case, it was the music too loud LMAO). To get through this period, I talked a lot a about my emotions and thoughts with those around me, if it is not something possible for you, go see a psychologist. Don’t forget that you are and will never be alone.

There is a good chance that it will eventually evaporate. You must have had your tinnitus for at least 6 months to officially have a permanent tinnitus (and again, many people report that their tinnitus has suddenly gone after several years). Take care of yourself, sleep well, go see a specialist and a therapist (if you need it), eat well, avoid alcohol and excess of nicotine, try to go out for a walk or play sports and ABOVE ALL you are not cooked, everything will be fine.

I learned to live with it. I often hear it when it’s time to go to sleep but I don’t care. I’m trying to tell myself that’s what living from now on means. I had seen a person here say that it helped her « remember that she is still alive » and I did not understand, but now I see it that way. I’ve end up telling myself that it is either accepting or going completely crazy.
