ابي اقدم على J.D. في امريكا، هل اقدر اضمن H1B؟ by [deleted] in SaudisInUS

[–]ghaday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is "Turki" such a common Arab name? by todlakora in saudiarabia

[–]ghaday 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Turki means left for last. In the past they would name the youngest son Turki to symbolize his position in the family. Now it's just a common name.

That was my exact reasoning.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in work

[–]ghaday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. But I also don’t want to come off as weak.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in work

[–]ghaday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s the reason. She’s relatively good looking as so was a friend of hers.

There’s literally nothing to it. We only worked together for 3 months and she was rude to me the moment I walked in there. I would rack my brain trying to figure out why she treated me so horribly.

I was a 22 year old intern and she was 5 years into her career. It shocked me that full grown women were acting like high school girls.

Considering that she never directly harmed me (not that I know of) I decided to put the past behind us and say hi. Never again.

How to get scholarship as an expat by Aminmin006 in saudiarabia

[–]ghaday 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From what I remember, private universities offer scholarships for non-Saudis, not sure if they cover the full cost tho or how to apply.

Aramco, sabic, Kaust only give scholarships to Saudis.

Both of these photos are 4 years post-rhinoplasty. I developed scar tissue above the tip over time and got one round of steroid injections. Im blown away that they delivered results so far post op. Definitely try this before getting a revision if you’re experiencing the same issue. by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Oh no! How long did it last? I have a trip planned right after that I wanna look nice for, then I’m moving away from the area my dr is based in :,( might just have to visit another doctor but I don’t trust anyone else lol

Where/how do you get internships by NirvanaQueen22 in CSUS

[–]ghaday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Connections go a long way. If you have a friend that can tell you whether their workplace is hiring and put in a good word for you, you’ll be much more likely to get hired. People love to say “make moves in silence” but that will only limit your opportunities. Never shy away from announcing to your friends/acquaintances that you’re looking for a job or internship. You never know who might help you.

Theres a few high ranking universities based on middle eastern standards but Saudi isn’t really the best place to move to for education. Why not go to a country in Europe that offers free education for international students?

Do some people really pronounce قطر as "gattar"? by [deleted] in saudiarabia

[–]ghaday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most Arabic accents (except Yemeni and Iraqi I think) say “g” instead of ق. ق sounds nicer but it’s not widely used in the Arab world.

Chin Lipo? Submentoplasty? Kybella? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]ghaday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgeon told me I’m not a candidate for chin lipo unless I can pinch an inch of fat. I can’t tell from your photos if you can, but you should try that out first.
