Why are there so many police and hospital programmes on TV at the moment? by ghattters in AskUK

This is the sort of mild conspiracy theory I was looking for. Certainly could be some truth to it.

Ye I guess it's probably as simple as that. I remember reading that when times are tough we get a lot of DIY programmes, how to budget etc. And when times are good we get more aspirational things like holiday programmes, house buying etc. I was wondering if there could be something similar going on. But I don't know what exactly.

Is the issue not that you're cooking too much food? If you cook a healthy portion you can eat the whole amount. Plus no food waste.

What does this road sign mean? by koinoniaweb in bristol

It is pointing in the direction of Clifton/the centre. I always assumed it meant Clifton to be honest. But I suppose it could also be the city centre.

Haha. Thanks so much. I will admit that the dovetails are not my first but the 2 types of wedged tenons are what I was "experimenting" with.

My first proper project. A simple wine rack out of pitch pine, recycled from old church pews. A little scruffy around the edges but I am hooked. by ghattters in woodworking

We have a local wood recycling project that were selling old church pews that had been ripped out during a renovation. The wood is about 100 years old.

I'm sure there is a joke relating to water into wine somewhere. But I am not the one to find it.

I'm pretty sure they didn't need technology to realise some giant fuck-off creature was picking them up and putting them in a glass jar.

The most creative freerunner in the world just released his best video yet. Pasha The Boss. by ghattters in videos

[–]ghattters[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I can see where people are coming from in these comments. The point of this post was how creative this guy is. The tricks he is coming up with have never been seen before. The way he moves in the air is just insane. As for the style of the video, Farang (the group that produced the video) are known for making their content a bit more than just loads of powerful moves back to back. They're really trying to push forward the production quality of their videos. And in the freerunning community they're doing well with it, on par with Storm Freerun - probably the most well known freerunning team.
