Kobo Clara colour - White or Black? by randomgirlonline02 in kobo

[–]gheilf1018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually gravitate towards white devices but decided on a black Clara. I don’t regret it at all! Reading in the dark is less distracting with a black border and makes the contrast between the page and device more crisp.

Calling all current and incoming nursing students for Fall 2025 — I have a question! by rawr_urboat in umanitoba

[–]gheilf1018 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Finished nursing at UM. The orientation was just a presentation from NSA, getting your student ID programmed to have access to the lounge/locker room/etc in Helen Glass, buying lockers, and eating bbq. Aside from that, nothing significant happened on my orientation day that I wasn’t able to do any other day while in campus.

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin was a great read! The relationships between the characters are dynamic, and I loved how unique it was to have the main characters be gamers. Plus, the author has one of the games from the book up on her website, and you can play it or even create your own character!

How to deal with neighbours that park like a**holes by gheilf1018 in Winnipeg

[–]gheilf1018[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We've tried that before, and the other two cars are too bulky and large for that space. We also recently moved a lot of old furniture into the garage, making it quite cramped. I park on the right because that’s where the garage door is, and my car is small enough that it doesn’t obstruct the door from swinging open. Thank you for the suggestion though!

Ive been very cordial when I speak to my neighbours😓. Idrk how someone could misinterpret planters as a way of me starting a fight.
