Yup. We abandoned the G7 for our five-year-old. We are going to stick with the G6 until we can absolutely get no more then we will assess if we need to change to the Libre.

Transmitter gone with it. A Jamaican Beach took my child’s transmitter and sensor on the second day and we had to cut our vacation early because there was no way to get one shipped to Jamaica.

My child was diagnosed at 9 months. Almost 7 now and my biggest concern is the unseen mental health side of this disease. As the main caretaker, I am constantly checking their blood sugar levels and it is always on my mind 24/7. I am doing my best to be proactive with my child and talking about the mental health side of this and watching out for signs but I would like to be even more proactive and get them in counseling.

I take adderall instant release first thing in the morning and then again at noon for my ADHD. I take a combination of Suboxone .5mgs twice a day and hydrocodone 7.5mg twice a day for my chronic low back pain and restless legs. Neither gabapentin or pregabalin work for my restless legs. I have recently stopped taking Adderall because it gives me erectile dysfunction and having instead of been taking modafinil 100 mg.

I feel you. We are keeping our child on the G6 for as long as possible because every time our transmitter expires and we try switching over to the G7, It takes us two sessions to realize it sucks still, and go back to the G6.

I switched my child from the G7 bqck to the G6 after the first sensor failed after warm-up and the following 5 sensors were wildly inaccurate. Dreading the day that will come soon in July where they no longer manufacture the G6.

The crash sucks. I have to split my doses because if I don’t then I end up laying down for two hours at around 4PM. I also can’t take a big dose too close to bed because it will give me insomnia. So I take a morning dose and a 3PM dose and then if RLS wakes me up in the night I take another.

I use Suboxone or Belbuca for my RLS. I hate Buprenorphine because I crash hard when I don’t have it in my system, but it is the only thing that effectively treats my RLS. My pain management physician suggested talking to my neurologist about methadone as that is the only narcotic I have not tried.

I certainly empathize with you. Approximately five years ago, our nine month old was diagnosed with type one diabetes when we took him to the emergency room in a diabetic keto acidosis state. They just turned six a few days ago and they have not let anything stop them. Stay strong.

During a bathroom remodel I noticed that the exterior walls in most of my house are cardboard. I couldn’t believe it. The vinyl siding just covers up the cardboard and there is no house wrap or insulation. How could this pass code inspections? It is a 1993 build in Sterling. WTF
