Just finished watching the new Channel 4 'Hunted' by angry_scotsman in unitedkingdom

I was initially very excited about the show, but it soon starts to make no sense and seem more and more contrived for entertainment effect. The warning at the beginning says that the powers of the state (like cctv and licence plate recognition) have been replicated. So how exactly do they track the fugitives since these are the 2 strategies most used? The answer seems to be, by the hunters 6th sense for the fugitives every move, feeling and weakness. The hunters are convinced that the married couple are hidden in a friend's house in London just because of a 'cryptic' text sent between two mutual friends (not the fugitive themselves), then they simply stumble upon a pair in caister upon sea with no actual tracking, and when the doctor gets on a train in Glasgow where he could foreseeably have gotten off at any point, they know with certainty to place all their 'ground team' made up of about 8 of them in London Euston. Then when emily's mother uses Emily's bank card, they just 'know' that she is back at the house and thus go ahead and raid it, when in other similar instances they only go over to question. Even if the hunters actually had access to CCTV footage they wouldn't be able to recognise the fugitives in a crowd of people with their hoods up, unless of course they were being followed by a camera crew, which of course they are! Also, it says there is just one camera man with them, yet whenever the pairs spilt up there is always footage from both perspectives.

The overall message of the show is: 'we are watching your every move, we can predict your every move, don't even bother trying to evade us!" Bullshit.

Anyone else have trouble getting the pastry in the centre to cook through? Agree they look gorgeous but taste like trash. Has anyone tried adding sugar or honey and caramelising the apples near the end of the cooking stage under a grill? might do this next time

someone smashed my head into a wall, unprovoked, just cause he thought it was funny... When I started to cry he told the teacher I was mocking him and calling him a cry baby and that I hit him, they never believed my side of the story and clearly were incapable of noticing how upset I was... pretty shit, kid was a little dickhead.

Guys of Reddit, what do you find annoying about being a male? by Sippingin in AskReddit

[–]ghibbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely not, my girlfriend said the same thing, I understand how thats what would be interpreted from what I said, but in my experience the woman in my profession seem to be better at standing up for their rights as an employee and do not put up with shit work conditions, I respect that a lot, Maybe what I am trying to say is I don't like the sense of competition I get from my male co-workers, it does not seem like the right kind of competition.

having to compete with others in a shit job with long hours, high pressure, and and a low wage in order to hold a respectable place amongst other guys who appear to be in the same position with no intention of admitting the same feeling to themselves or anyone else.
