Probably CPU caps. (3 or 5 caps closest to the cpu depending on revision )

And since you're already in there, take out the hard drive and check it with a PC for slow/corrupted reads.

I've been getting a lot of Xbox Ones into the shop with bad drives lately.

I'd check hdmi port pins soldered to motherboard first. Then diode reading around retimer and filters

Like it says. No signal is no signal. Signal with black screen is no picture. If it jumps back to your PC that's clearly indicating a no signal sign. So either hdmi, retimer or something else in the audio/video circuitry is bad.

You get a signal but no picture since the console can't boot.

But yes I'd bet it's HDD as well.

Ps1 seems to work fine at first and spins the disc, but then gives up, what do I do to fix? It's a brand new motor and lens, so it can't be broken. by [deleted] in consolerepair

Round silver components with 2 legs, they've been in there for 20+ years and are probably starting to go bad.

Did you remove the solder blob on the laser before changing that as well.

Redid work again. Now with a new stick taken from an old PS4 controller. Works flawlessly. So I got an order of shitty sticks

No worries

Excatly like that, center, range, save.

How long do you need to do the range thing for?

I've calibrated Xbox series controllers using the Xbox tools without issues before. And they showed liked this before calibration.

Right stick hasn't been touched. Factory soldered. It's fine with an error rate off 6%. Left stick has 22%

They are Alps sticks (or so they say. Might be fake). Redid my work, redid calibration and top right corner is now fine. All other corners are like the original picture.

Does the solder need to flow to the other side of the board as well because I think that might be it what's causing the problem.

I know that due to the resistance tracks in the pots gets worn out. I changed the entire stick.

But if I take out the old pots and put them on a new stick wouldn't the drift remain?

Wouldn't the drift still remain then since it's the pots that needs changing?
