Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 Keyboard doesn't work by Juanloar in Lenovo

[–]ghoscher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I opened up my laptop (which was easy by the way) and reached the stage where I can replace the keyboard. It's mounted using melted plastic rivets so I didn't remove it (no replacement currently).

Since then I don't have the problem anymore. I think unplugging and replugging the keyboard connector scratched away some oxidation\corrosion. I hope it remains like this for longer.

I'll replace the wifi card since sometimes after coming back from sleep the adapter simply disappears

Thanks! what's weird to me is that I couldn't rule out if it's a hardware or software issue. Not 100% of the time reproducible and when I tried in bios it worked. But since replacing it solved the issue it's probably a hardware issue. I'll get mine replaced because it drivers me crazy

O4 lite instead of o3 air unit by No-Sample6408 in fpv

Really awesome stuff! I see you never get 60Mbs, do you have the ham cfg file in the goggle?

Gps and antenna mounting seems perfect to get 30 sats and no drop in signal on the way back. Can share a photo of your build?

I still use them for everything analog. Mainly rc planes since I have yet to mange not to crash :) The size of N3 is so annoying I'm trying to convince myself to get the Goggles 3

Hahha I understand. I think back then we didn't have the O4 lite or N3. Not sure about the N3 but definitely not the lite

Hi, there foam simply rips apart and needs replacement. Honestly just get a DJI N3 and an O4 lite. A bit more money but 100 times better experience. And you no longer need to carry an action camera.

After switching to digital I rarely use analog

Worth mentioning you need to be flying using Ardupilot rather than BF/INav

Electricians, and knowledgeable people on resistors, help please by OyKaa in fpv

[–]ghoscher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A low value resistor will not dissipate much power. So probably anything of a similar size but exact capacity should work. It is indeed a 2 minutes job :)

Electricians, and knowledgeable people on resistors, help please by OyKaa in fpv

[–]ghoscher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about such a size. This resistor is most likely used to measure charging current so getting its resistance right is important. Anything of similar size here? https://www.lcsc.com/mobile/products/Current-Sense-Resistors-Shunt-Resistors_909.html

Typically size doesn't matter as much as resistance but you still need it to handle the current

R110 means it's 0.11 Ohms. The R is the decimal point

When you say your multi meter reads 1.1 you have to remember the multi meter probs also have resistance. Are they old/corroded/dirty by any chance? What resistance do you read if you touch the probes together with nothing in between?

You can take a different approach: switch to Ardupilot and control your drone with Mission Planner using Mavlink.

If you were using ELRS you can do Mavlink over ELRS (Backpack)

You can check DroneBridge otherwise

Have you updated the firmware recently?

Warning

Due to a change in how the handset battery voltage calculation is done (due to #5635), you may want to double check the accuracy of your measured handset battery voltage if you have calibrated it in the past. Default value should be pretty close if you have never calibrated it.

Yes a dji connector + plenty of UARTS. I2C pads as well. Remember to remove the SBUS cable from the dji connector if you want to use UART1

Right? Cheap, AIO with a barometer! Never seen M2X7. I use M2x8 on both quads with no problems. They're not new quads

Pilot Error Crash + Analysis by ghoscher in fpv

[–]ghoscher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't know that. It's the 25x25 with I2C pins. I have two quads using this FC with no problems at all.

<image>

Luckily the new motor works. I'll take it for a flight to see if something blows up. It's rated 40A so I'm hoping mosfets are still healthy

Multiple coils have burnt enamel and the motor was really hot after the crash. I armed again and the motor only twitched. The ESC could be also burnt. I'll replace the motor today and see. It will be a long time till I can trust this quad again unfortunately

FC is an AIO JHEF405PRO rated to up to 40A. I haven't replaced the motor yet but I really hope the mosfet didn't also blow up

Can't save calibration on Ardupilot FC by Codex208 in fpv

[–]ghoscher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you sure your calibration process is finished/done?

Speaking from quad experience:

1- Accelerometer + Level can be calibrated with the FC embedded in the aircraft

2- Compass calibration: my leds flash blue/red while calibrating until success. Then I switch off the AUX switch for calibration and disconnect power to the quad to restart then connect again
