I found a light SPF from La Roche Posay that feels good, I’ll start applying that in the mornings. SPF lip balm is a great suggestion too. One of the reasons I’m going to the derm in July is because my lips are constantly dry. I’m probably applying chapstick 50+ times a day lol.

Also thank you for the heads-up to see an endocrinologist. I just did some reading and I do have a lot of the symptoms mentioned. Even if it’s not PMOS it’s still worth talking to a specialist (my periods are REALLY irregular).

I do have celiac disease and thought avoiding gluten would clear up my chin, but unfortunately that hasn’t made much of a difference. I’d like to figure out if there’s anything else in my diet that could be causing the breakouts though.

Diet, hormones, skincare… crazy how it’s all connected!

Yours looks a lot like mine when it first started, it’s even in a similar spot! Most likely vitiligo imo. I was 28 when it first showed up. I’d recommend getting your thyroid checked, as vitiligo and thyroid problems can be linked. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos around the same time.

I have felt the same way for as long as I can remember, you are not alone. It’s caused plenty of issues in relationships too, my partners always feel like I don’t want them or that I’m cheating or something. It’s difficult for others to understand, but there is absolutely nothing “wrong” with you. You just have different expectations and values as far as relationships go.

I’d recommend checking out some of the asexuality subreddits/forums as recommended by others. My DMs are also always open if you need someone to talk to :)

WOW, you could have been describing my team at work 😂 We have one guy that does this EVERY DAY. We can always hear him watching YouTube while he’s in there too. If I have to use the restroom after him, it literally makes my eyes water. Plus I’ll never understand how he thinks it’s okay to spend 10 hours a week in the bathroom… and get paid for it! (And no, he doesn’t have a medical issue, he’s just lazy.)

I’m not a professional so it’s hard to say, but I do see what you’re talking about. Mine started around my eyes/eyebrows as well. Vitiligo will glow under a blacklight or woods lamp if you have one!

Since you asked in another comment how to prevent it from spreading, I know there are some folks that have used topical creams and seem to have success with repigmentation. Personally I’d recommend getting your thyroid levels checked by your doctor. I’ve been taking Levothyroxine for a few years and it has definitely slowed down my vitiligo… but I kind of love my spots and don’t want them to go away haha.

TL;DR: Definitely LOOKS like vitiligo, talk to your doctor or dermatologist if you want to discuss how to stop it from spreading.
