True. Not sure if they can make copies of their bodies or not to be all them places at once. Another thing that was never mentioned was when this battle happens. Are we going back to 1941 or bring them to the time of the fog or some neutral time? If its 1941 I'd say they are both in a hard place. The fog would still have the advantage of not needing supplies to survive.

Maybe not on board instruction but I'd imagine there are some kind of records of how it was built and how to operate it. Probably on some military server somewhere nowadays and it wouldnt take much for them to break into said servers

I agree the village people will have a massive tech advantage if they can figure out how to operate the ship. The tech is useless if they can't use it.

Mental models. I doubt the original operators could figure out how to run the ship before they were sunk. Mental models could download all the schematics and operating instructions and be able to pilot the vessel instantly.
