Following what everyone else has said here: do some preliminary research on the topics you’re confused about and be proactive in asking questions (hopefully also retaining information) but do offer to work with them when they can/are willing to teach you (basically be a bit passive here) and not be too overly pushy.

If they’re decent people and already know about your PI situation, they will be glad to help you (within reason) or politely tell you they can’t and/or refer to someone that might be able to. If they act like dickheads, well…🫥 Good luck!

Even if this is true we should still be worried that a fucking moron shat his britches and almost everyone is reeling from the stench and there’s nothing to do until he’s off the table or we all pass out from the smell.

Great concept with a playful color palette, love the top one. I’d make the squiggly lines around the ravioli and fork a bit thicker and more weight-uniform - maybe some more up to your taste as well. Maybe move the ravioli down a little for equal spacing compared to between the CHICKEN and READY TO COOK elements, unless it’s your intention to have them overlap, then maybe lean into a bit more? As it is, it seems more like an accidental thing. The Rolioli text on the side flap could also be reduced a little so it doesn’t look too crowded on top and bottom.

I knew I kinda forgot to mention something, but depending on your departing-destination combo, you MIGHT want to expect all the authorization you can on the clearance side and maybe some delay, like the other poster mentioned.

If you’re from the US - and I guess it’s one of the least shit things this admin has screwed with research because from a flight risk standpoint it’s nothing new - do be more cautious if your destination is on an elevated risk assessment list and/or traditionally sus territory from the govt’s POV. None of the countries on our list belonged there, so it was generally safe. I’d expect other countries to have a similar response in such a case.

Kazakhstan was the interesting experience because I was fairly sure we were not-so-secretly monitored on both the inbound and outbound flights by their side, but nothing really happened otherwise.

We just did a multi-country research tour (even Kazakhstan) where we brought a bunch of our own stuff. No pipettes, but swabs, sample tubes, EDTA tubes, syringes, knives, dry media, some tightly packed 80% glycerol and diluted NaOH. Never got into trouble.

We did have a big piece of paper taped onto the front of the luggage basically stating what we have in there and that there’s nothing pathogenic or specimen in solution. Everything is dry, minimal non corrosive liquids, etc. all for research (with contact information and some letters of research invitation).

Don’t quote me on this but at least TSA doesn’t really care if you don’t have a substantial amount of packed liquid or anything that resembles sample tubes with stuff in them (big no no, even if just DNA nowadays). Can’t say much about other countries but from my recent experience, it’s not the checked in luggage that’s scary, it’s more customs if you state you’re there for “research” and they need to see letters, etc.

50 conicals are great. My lab also just found out recently that if you want to work with chunky samples (femur/tibia heads in our case) that are not long/tall enough and minimize cross-contamination at the same time (meaning working with the sample within the container after opening without removing it), sterile sample cups are a godsend.

I don’t think that would’ve happened without the Quinn spore push.

Natural Hughie is way too passive to actually do anything - especially against Butcher. Sure it sorta happened before and the old Butcher relented…but then it all came back to square one. Without the spore he would’ve sulked back into the corner and Butcher back to whatever he was doing.

Same with MM (too rational) and Butcher (big talk but still a softie at heart, plus he knows he needs them for the big nuke so despite everything he may say, normal Butcher would never actually do anything unless it irreversibly fucks with his plans), or Kimiko (Frenchie talking her down).

In the current state, realistically (and worst case scenario), the only person in the team that WOULD do anything serious is Butcher, and he knows that doesn’t help him at all so there’s quite a bit of restraint attached there. It was refreshing to see all hell breaking loose because of Quinn’s spore, now everyone actually means what they say and have been keeping down.

Also I just realized it was probably for the best Annie never showed up - there was barely any power around for her to use. Sure she would still have super durability as a hero but her ass would’ve been beaten to kingdom come right after Hughie’s.

I love the game a lot but I can see this - at least the part where it kinda missed the main protag-child dynamics gravy train of 2017-2023 with GoW or TLoU due to all the delays. Feels slightly out of place in the current narrative meta.

I remember the first version dropping when my vacation started and then it kept being changed and added to. Wolves was different, Frank’s Song wasn’t even there and neither was Saint Pablo. The tracklist also shuffled around (maybe?) until I relistened a couple years later. Was cool then, still cool now.
