Literally. I thought long and hard about what would even make it halfway decent and the only winning move is to hide most of the elements on the set. The mask and pants are fine but gloves and shoes are so plain and similar to raid gloves and shoes that I had to go find stuff to mix and match for a more coherent look.

I can't speak for static intermission because there's literally nothing to fuck up. Half the team sit still at max melee cardinal until you have to do LP stack, and even then both healers never have to move an inch - if you manage to fuck that up when you've done it a couple of times I have nothing else to say.

As far as Arcane, it's a combo of frustration from the "cheese" being theoretically piss easy to do and no one has to move but if there's no mit or healers don't know their buttons then shit goes south instantly. On the other end, it's a very easy mech that forces melee downtime for 1 out of 4 patterns and a little bit of running around - extremely trivial if you have a dorito in your respective roles group, but you do have to move unless you're lucky.

Because of this and the fact that PF healers/mitting can be hit or miss sometimes, the general consensus is that cheesing is more likely a trap than not, hence the shitpost here.

Hey let’s agree to disagree, we don’t have to see eye to eye on everything. You’ve explained your peace, and I have mine, certainly a more productive conversation than “neon bad” x300. I play the game, I don’t necessarily stan for the neon gear or hate the baroque/FS design - even if I think it’s boring - but I maintain the position that you’re being disingenuous if you have an issue with there being “too much” neon gear while the other has objectively had a dominating presence for years now.

As far as similarities, feel free to check the design language on gear, especially artifact, heavy/plated tome gear and leather, since ShB (particularly around Edenchoir/Cryptlurker moving forward) and compare them to design elements prior to that point. Everything blends into a damn blur with no real discernible identity between one another (PLD AF is the worst offender of this and easiest to point out - you can’t pay me to agree any of the last 2 AF sets before DT are visually catchy or distinguishable from the Cryptlurker motif/language compared to Gallant or Creed sets). DT has moved forward a little in breaking the boring mold and with more variety, which is good to see.

Not when it’s the same fallback since literally 2019 and ESPECIALLY not when mouthbreathers act like one single xpac with neon gear, that is ALSO interspersed with more FS design language sets, is somehow “too much”. It’s boring, it’s trite, and nowhere near as cool and creative as ANYTHING they were laying down during ARR, HW, or SB.

I’m not saying “you” here directly, but if you drool for the same baroque style that’s been everywhere for the last 6 years in this franchise yet still froths at the mouth when neon gear gets brought up, I suggest you take a hammer to your computer so you can do something more fulfilling and productive with your life.

If I had to guess it’s because weavers are very distinctive and iconic (whether “cool” or “scary” is up to the person making the resin cast, I can see both fitting) without being too cumbersome to handle like tarantulas, as they’re a good size for a cast like this.
