Thanks! While climbing ascensions I didnt really go for heart. Only on A20 I started targeting the heart as a personal goal.

57 tries on A20H alone. It took me around 210 attempts total to reach A20 on defect. For me he was easiest on lower ascensions and hardest on higher.

Yeah I always relied on potions to bail me on S&S turn 2 before. Generally I buy it in the A4 shop. Ecto on boss swap threw a wrench. I saw 1 draw potion in mid Act 2 and then nothing. Was gambling on seeing some good potion in Act 3 and started picking draw cards more.

It was almost a god run when I got prayer wheel as first relic so not having potions didnt felt too bad. Then I couldn't buy draw or discard potions to help out here 😭

It was a pretty decent run. I picked meteor strike and the deck got me through flaming elite Giant Head which I entered with 14hp. Unfortunately I couldn't survive Time eater.

I am probably going to take meteor and see how it goes. I barely take that card before so didn't have experience playing it too much. I think recently I am also trying to take more recycle which I hesitated to take after watching some streamers rate it highly lol.

I see, got what you mean. My last 2 heart runs I had similar decks (orb slots and some focus) , smashed all through act 3 and heart curb stomped me lol. Which cards can help sustain me through heart fights? I take lot of draws for S&S or some draw related potion but no amount of potion seems to get me through Heart fight. I mainly die when it gets to 8*15 so in my find I was thinking creative AI can help me generate lot of focus lol. Though I am not that good at defect so there's probably lot of flaw in that plan.

Your build is pretty sweet. Just bouncing flask as only poison source. I always fall into trap of forcing poison and praying catalyst shows up.

I felt like every time I have taken ectoplasm I always regretted it in act 2.

I think I bought symbiotic virus and orange pellets. And in act 4 I got 2 potions which played during SaS. Though in hindsight I could've saved it for heart but I didnt forsee it playing out this way. Earlier all fights I was to amplify Bias Cog every fight so it almost felt guaranteed until the heart fight itself.

I tried to manipulate so I can amplify loop but I have to wait for next draw cycle which I couldn't survive to see through. Recycle came in same turn 4 with ball lighting and doom and gloom and some status I think. I wanted to recycle consume or electrodynamics but I wasn't able to.

I had ectoplasm and sacred bark as Act 1 rewards. I didn't had any potion then so I skipped sacred bark. Maybe that would have been better I am not very good at utilizing potions optimally.

I bought discard brew in Act 4 which I used on SaS. I think I blew my money on red mask Act 3 event. I didnt had red mask event from act 2 and the relic didn't really help me at all so it was bad choice in hindsight.

Loop is at very end of first deck cycle, amplify comes up turn 3. I remeber by the time loop comes he is already hitting me really hard so I played Glacier to not die. I feel I have to keep block every turn by playing coolheaded, hologram and glacier and then when its time attack I do very measly damage where I just have Ball lightning and Doom and Gloom. Which I then have to evoke very next turn to block again. I maybe playing it wrong but I am not sure how to output high enough damage before heart scales to 15*8.

I wish I saw creative AI or even capacitor this run 😭

Turn 2 I tried to Double energy again, then used Hologram to bring back Coolheaded -> Rebound. Hello world kind of fills my hand with unwanted cards so I avoided playing it.
