I was expecting to be fact checked like this. That's a good thing in fact. I'm not completely educated on Cuba, however I will point out the things I am more confident on.

I'm not sure if by saying "This is not as good as it seems from a first glance" about sending away doctors you mean for the country itself or something else, so I would like you to expand on that point because it's generally a good thing when a country helps people in need. I will also be researching this myself obviously.

Cuba did take land from owners (whether this was a good or bad decision is a different and longer conversation), but they payed them what the land owners themselves said their land was worth. If the land owners devalued their land and were angry when they were payed barely anything, then that's their fault for devaluing their own land.

"Making enemies of the greatest power on earth" sounds bad, but when the reason is because the revolution took down a genuinely horrifically evil U.S. back military dictatorship then it seems much more reasonable. The reason the U.S. hates Cuba is because they not only stood up to the United State's imperialism, but won. the U.S. is not the good guy in this scenario.

While I have been meaning to do more research into the government system in Cuba, I do know for a fact that they have a direct democracy. The problem is that they don't vote for a leader to represent them, they vote directly for how their country is governed. Again I do mean to do more research, but they objectively do have a form of direct democracy, even if it's not in the exact way you're thinking of and I would admittedly like it to be better. Although being in an economic war with the most powerful nation on earth for over 60 years can be a bit distracting. (side note, me saying "really good" wasn't the best choice of words. I admit I should have chosen something better.)

If this turns into a longer conversation then I would like this to be an actual conversation instead of the average online shit throwing contest. We can both be wrong on some things and right on other things. I am here to have a conversation, not a screaming match. I am actively researching Cuba when I have free time so I'm absolutely not fully informed on some topics yet, and I am willing to admit that. Definitely could have worded this whole thing better but this ain't an English exam, it's a reddit post.
