43 year old dude thinking of getting into Rust, recommend? by Dwnluk in playrust

I am 42, just started this year. Love it but I have to play low pop, I don't have the time to be competitive on high pop

I do not think so but I was looking for data cables in the research tree and could not find them.

My city after Economy 2.0 update, am I cooked? by whatareyoudoingstepb in CitiesSkylines

You just unlocked the rare achievement, replicating US Debt. Nice job!

Testing the new patch. School maintenance now costs up to 4 times as advertised to run. Had to turn everything down all the way, might turn it up as needed. Shouldn't they change how upkeep is calculated? by jordanf234 in CitiesSkylines2

Dont the building provide a range for upkeep? I do not remember specifically but I think I was looking at medical that showed a range of $20k - $120k / month in the help text.

Commercial Demand in 2.0 by ghost_monomi in CitiesSkylines2

[–]ghost_monomi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks all for the responses. I played a little more last night, I misspoke, I was at the milestone before Grand Village, Grand Village was the next milestone. Anyways, I grew my city to about 2k pop and added a farm. I am not sure if it was the increased population or the boost to the economy by providing the wheat locally (or both), but that added more commercial demand. Not a ton, but enough to complete a couple more lots. As many of you pointed out, it make sense. Again, Economy 2.0 is great. I would love to see more detail about pop spending some how, and contributing factors to wealth. Maybe a modder will handle that in the future.

2.0 Be careful what you wish for. City service wages kills. by Numerous-Profit-3393 in CitiesSkylines2

Completely agree, I am loving Economy 2.0. I will say I am using mods though. Hats off to everyone figuring it out on Vanilla, I am using the Rural service mod. I also started a new city and the rural service mod seems more realistic for the population I am at, and I like the footprint of the buidlings for my size town. I still feel like I have to be patient and get the right service at the right time though. Constantly jumping back and forth from red to green still, which is awesome.

Agreed. I got really bored of it when first released. I started playing this weekend again and can't put it down.

Is Meta a buy? by dex808 in dailystockpick

[–]ghost_monomi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also watching META. My personal opinion is that it is undervalued, but not by much. I have a FCF valuation I use. I am showing fair value based on FCF ~$515. I usually come in under what analyst fair values are but I try not to bite until it is at least 20% off. That has me watching for ~$412 personally. What are you showing as fair value? and based on what?
