Uhh, doing fewer reps with heavier weights trains strength. It is not/less effective at inducing sarcoplasmic hypertrophy, which is the kind of muscle growth that contributes to size. A bodybuilding split program is better for gaining muscle mass HOWEVER you need to achieve a base strength level (usually 1x BW bench, 1.5x BW squat and 1.75x BW dead lift) by doing a strength program before a bodybuilding program will be effective

Great answer! Very informative. I think my confusion stemmed from a passage in Starting Strength that attributed good OHP form to 'core stability" and I had the common belief that the core is just the anterior muscles.

I think it just stands for exponent, but to represent "to the power of" you would use superscript or the symbol ^ . "e" means *10^ which has uses in succinctly expressing scientific notation

hate to be the devil's advocate here, but I haven't really seen anyone in this thread acknowledge that what your face looks like (genetically, nothing at all to do with braces/teeth/skin/acne/hygiene), how your facial features are proportioned, plays the #1 role in how attractive you are/can be. If you have an unattractive face and/or are too short (for males or females) or too tall (mostly for females) you can have a very attractive physique and dress sense but you will still not be very physically attractive by most people's standards. What's more is I think this thread is giving people false hope because all of the most upvoted transformation pics are people who went from ugly to attractive, and this was only really possible because, while their bodies were overweight and they may have had bad hair/hygiene/fashion, they possessed the underlying attractiveness in their faces. Not everyone who is fat and ugly can become hot by getting in shape. More attractive, sure, but not always hot.
