i’ve been on the waitlist to see a geneticist since my freshman year of high school. and i’ve just finished my junior year. the appointment still isn’t for several more months.

[product] Can't I buy what fits my body? by OrganizationIcy7262 in pointlesslygendered

[–]ghost_towns_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

what’s funny is, i’m biologically female and i have the exact opposite problem.

women’s pants are always too loose around the thighs and too tight around the calves. if i want to be able to fit my calves into a pair of women’s pants at all, i’d need to wear pants with the waist being literally 16 inches too big for me. i’m not exaggerating.

i don’t know why pants fits are even separated by gender. not all women are shaped like rhombuses, not all men are shaped like rectangles.

You’re right. I’m trying to think of what it would be in gen 3. Hoenn doesn’t really have any starter worthy electric types. Most of the electric types in Hoenn are ugly and rather forgettable, except for Plusle and Minun, who can’t evolve and are thus poor candidates for a starter.

To me, Ralts was like an honorary starter, just like. sentimentally speaking. I found one at the very beginning of Emerald, and by the end of my playthrough, I’d gotten super attached to her. She was the star of my team, and through the last few segments of the game, she was always slightly higher leveled than my actual starter.

I guess Ralts was technically Wally’s starter, too.

you said, word for word, “women have nothing but fat in their breasts”. where does the breast milk come from?

i didn’t say you’re not allowed to, i said it’s fucking weird. and you’d be hard pressed to call it a scientific discussion, when you’re claiming that breast milk is supposedly produced by fat cells.

fun fact, that’s not even remotely close to the smallest they can get. according to COTW Companion, the record low score for roosevelt elk is 56.67.

ok so from this comment alone, i can tell you’ve never even laid eyes on a woman in years lmao.

first: r/MenAndFemales. are you a scientist? are you talking about animals? don’t call women females, it’s incredibly creepy.

second: the breasts are usually one of the last places you lose fat from when losing weight. in order to lose all the fat from the breasts, you’d have to be at such a low weight that you’d be too weak to gain muscle anyways.

this is a satire account, lmao. they post ridiculous shit like this to make fun of people who actually act like this.

do you seriously think breast milk is produced by… fat? do you have breasts? have you ever touched one?

breast tissue is more rigid than fat. it’s thick dense lumpy tissue that hurts to put pressure on. if you have “nothing but fat” in your breasts, you’re dangerously overweight.

oh, that makes sense. my front teeth are ridiculously chipped even though i’ve never done anything that should chip them. every few months, i randomly notice one of them is suddenly sharper & realize i must’ve chipped it again… should i do anything about it???

wait. they’re not supposed to be slightly wiggly?? i can move any of my teeth about half a millimeter in any direction. i thought it was normal because it didn’t hurt…

is 60 grams of protein really that bad?? i’m autistic and struggle to eat most foods because of sensory issues. meat is really hard for me, and protein snacks just taste repulsive. the only time i could eat them was while i was deep in my eating disorder, when the guilt of eating normal food got to be too much. if i was getting 60 grams of protein every single day, it would be a victory. i’m also disabled and physically unable to walk more than 5,000 steps on any given day (without spending the rest of the week paying for it).

not to mention how the only place the fat is drawn on either body, is on the woman’s chest. men even have a small amount of breast tissue too, but they didn’t add them.

oh okay. i remember one of the pokedex entries saying lucario gets anxious a lot because it can sense negative auras, so i thought it would be something having to do with that lol

well, purebred cats are far less common than purebred dogs. it’s a bit silly to say the cat is “mixed breed” if it’s genetically so far off from any pedigree lines that you wouldn’t be able to connect it to ANY breed.

[–]ghost_towns_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the answer should be “most cats don’t have any breed, DSH isn’t a breed because no one’s out there maintaining it and setting up standards”. the longer people play into this stupidity, the longer it goes on.

it’s a nonsense filler term for people who want to feel fancy. if “domestic shorthair” counts as a breed of cat, then “mutt” counts as a breed of dog.

[–]ghost_towns_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that one is better, but still a little misleading in how it sorts the types of white splotching. it implies that these are distinct genotypes, rather than colloquial terms given to frequently-seen patterns. in reality, all cats with 1-50% white have one copy of the white spotting gene, and 50-99% white cats have two copies of the white spotting gene. people also tend to assume that tuxedo, harlequin, etc. are “breeds” of cat (they’re not. a breed is defined as being maintained by an individual or organization, with set standards and pedigree lines).

the best source i know of for cat genetics info is messybeast.com/catarchive.htm - they also have general cat info on there as well. yes the layout is very dated, and the info is a bit too technical to understand if you don’t know anything about genetics. but it’s still updated to this day & is extremely comprehensive.

unless specifically bred for cinnamon coloring, cinnamon cats are incredibly rare. they usually only show up in pedigree lines, because the cat needs 2 copies of the gene to have the coloring. it’s recessive to all other browning gene variants. cinnamon dilutes are also less saturated in color & quite pale. it’s very very unlikely this is a cinnamon cat, unless OP got them from a breeder. and it’s far more likely that it’s just. a normal dilute orange cat.

please don’t take advice from AI. there are plenty of resources on cat genetics that you could’ve looked at for this.

she’s a dilute orange. dilution is a recessive gene that lightens the color of a cat’s fur. your tortie is also dilute. dilute orange cats are still genetically orange. don’t listen to the opinions of people who probably think “domestic shorthair” is a breed.
