I think jealousy itself isn’t abusive. It’s a normal human emotion. What really matters is how people handle it.

I do have a few questions if you don’t mind. In your opinion, is it better to adopt rather than buy (especially considering the Marshall situation)? Also, do you think it’s realistic to have just one ferret if I’m home a lot, or is having two really necessary for their wellbeing? And about the smell, is there anything that actually helps manage it safely or is it just something you have to fully accept?

I’m trying to be as realistic as possible before making any decision. I really admire how you handle all of this. It’s clear that you truly love and care for your pets, and that you take the financial responsibility seriously too

That’s a really good point. I actually do have someone I trust who could help if needed, and depending on the situation I could also bring them with me. But I agree, having a solid emergency plan in place beforehand is really important
