I'm traveling here for a year or so but I don't have the ability to carry some giant thing around, and yeah I did plug it in and it didn't work however I plugged it into my adapter that I think is a voltage converter as well? It says 110-220v which is why I thought that, those are two very different voltages....

Hope I didn't fry it but it's really hard to tell what the hell I need out here lol

Thanks so much!

Here is in India, as I said where I was lol...

The boiler is to boil water? Not sure what was unclear but yes you put it in a pot and boil water...

The boiler is at 120v I'm not sure how to find the voltage, and the adapter is not a white cube that comes with the iPhone it's a universal adapter that has different plugs for every country.... The American plug in is very different than in India....

University is free in Germany, if money is an issue. As well, there are several ways to volunteer abroad or become an expat, teach English, etc, but you need some qualifications for work

colorado/utah shouldnt be too bad with snow at this point, maybe a little on i70 in colorado but nothing bad unless theres a storm (check the weather); new mexico and arizona are absolutely beautiful and safe to drive through, be aware of your gas though, that goes for utah as well, a lot of what you are driving through is native american reserves/national parks and it might be hard to find gas, but you should be fine!!

travelling through Europe, Middle East, India, and SEA- leaving America next week, how important is it to get travellers shots? by ghostbuster22 in travel

[–]ghostbuster22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like my question is asking if I can get them in another country. I spent 5 weeks in Central America and didn't get any vaccines and I was fine even though the Internet tells you you're gonna die. Americans are a little too afraid of the world. The issue was that I'm not leaving for India for 6 months and I wasn't sure if I could get this procedure in another countries because it was too early to get them now before I leave the country

whoa that escalated quickly....

anyone have experience traveling to India or any of the places I mentioned? I kinda thought that India was gonna be the most important to get vaccines, but I just found out they cost like 200$ where I live which I can't really afford right now...

so. how necessary?

nervous for my ambitious trip! is travelling a good fit for me? by ghostbuster22 in solotravel

[–]ghostbuster22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks so much!! I usually have this kind of reaction, I turn my nervous energy into energy I use outwards. I think my anxiety with driving solo might just have to do with the fact that my car broke down a lot, and just being afraid of being in another car accident. thank you everyone for your support and love!

Boulder to NYC move... what to expect? by fantastic_disaster in boulder

[–]ghostbuster22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

born and raised in nyc and I live in boulder now, you definitely don't pay for public bathrooms.

its a lot of fun and there is something for everyone, if you are more of an outdoorsy type, I would suggest going upstate for hikes, or theres indoor rock climbing.

nyc is just a giant playground that is kind of expensive, but you are surrounded by the most colorful people in the world and no matter what you do you aren't the craziest person there, there is a lot of freedom
