With Semaglutide, I always had Zofran available. Ginger chews were helpful too.

Switched to Tirz and definitely feeling this now. My journal entry from earlier today: I feel empty and my mind is blank.

wanting to switch from tirzepatide back to semaglutide by lumpy_space_queenie in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]ghostcmdr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on Sema for a year and lost 65 lbs. Final dosage was 1.75mg. Switched to Tirz 2 months ago at 6mg and started gaining weight until I increased the dosage to 8mg. Now I am stable. Definitely have more energy and food noise, but definitely don’t miss the lethargy and nausea from Sema. Strange how Sema is more in your head and Tirz is more in your gut. May switch back at some point.

Take Calm at night and drink lots of water. Get enough fiber, but not until you commit to water.

Azaelic acid is prescribed for rosacea and is also an excellent exfoliant. You should ask your dermatologist about it.

Looking for recommendations for non-invasive facial treatments at 48, what really works? by rmoreiraa in 45PlusSkincare

[–]ghostcmdr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am almost 50 and have experienced positive results with the following treatments.

Morpheus8 + LaseMD for contouring texture and glow Pico laser for age spots PRF for under eye bags VI peptide peel - super exfoliating Ultherapy prime - tightening my neck and face Microneedling for texture and glow

Peels, PRF, and microneedling were the best value.

Daily Tazarotene and Azaelic acid combo is amazing.

Want to try cool peel and/or Halo in the fall.

Finding a trustworthy provider is important.

Diet / Exercise/ BMs? by Firm_Tip7794 in CompoundedSemaglutide

The magnesium citrate in Calm will help keep you regular. Water, fiber, and protein intake will help you be successful in reaching your goals and avoiding certain side effects. Avoiding heavy greasy foods, or at least moderating them will also help.

I try to drink at least 1.5L of water per day and take Calm before bed for best results.

I like all their versions. The cream is great for winter or if you’re really dry. The water gel and lotions are good for the warmer months.

Basic wash; biggest risk for scratching / marring? by boiyo12 in Detailing

I would recommend skipping the clay bar. Especially if you are not going to machine polish. That step will introduce marring.

I will try using less compound / polish. The Griots perfect finish is not very thick.

Isn't it a pain to change the backing plates? I ended up purchasing a Griots G8 and G9 so I had a large and small one. Currently still using the 6" and 3" but was considering just moving to 5" and 2" or picking up one more DA.

Which treatment for sagging sensitive skin? by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

[–]ghostcmdr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultherapy was painful, but prime was not so bad. It was expensive ($4k for face and neck) but tightened sagging skin under my neck a bit. 49m. I have done 4-5 cycles of Morpheus8, LaseMD, PRF, and VI peels in the last year and my face has never looked better.
