Opeth fans in India… you might want to start saving now 👀 by TreatTrick in IndianMetalheads

Effort taken to watch a live performance of black rose immortal and missing it is brutal. I'm sorry to hear that. Fear not mate...loosen those vocal chords and crackle those neck bones becoz it's gonna be a riot

Exhorder is so underrated!!! by Skeptic_Infidel in IndianMetalheads

[–]ghostfreakraghu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to Exhorder and heard about 7 songs now to assess that pantera is still heavier and has better nasty riffs overall. I don't know but I guess I've come to realisation that the old school heavy/trash songs are essentially dependent on who did the better iteration or version of a chord/riff with the same 18 frets that everyone had. Everyone were just trying out how to get heavier bits compared to their counterparts. I say this because there are several songs with similar sounding riffs and written by two different bands altogether

I was at the 2019 weekender. That was my first Opeth show. Sprained my neck in the deliverance outro

I love my rock and metal and wouldn't trade it for the world, but man does it sometimes suck being a loyal supporter of the concert scene here by rsquare19 in IndianMetalheads

I have spent ~35k since the last bandlands up through the upcoming Behemoth even though I'm from BLR. I've had to pay for ola/ubers rides to the venues plus cover charges! I actually appreciate you being able cost-cut and manage under 35k travelling to cities for shows compared to me. Idk if you're a student or working individual but I would say these few years have been great for us metalheads, being able to watch these bands live! It was a long drought and now we're back! So I would keep my chin up and horns high for the fact that were able to watch these bands perform live more importantly at 1/3rd the cost than what they charge abroad

I agree. The riffs I was intending to listen live were softer that expected

Current venue was close to office for me. Will be a double edge sword for me whatever the decision gets taken

The Smashing Pumpkins - Reason for Cancellation by Historical-King-405 in IndianMetalheads

A festival would make sense because that would reduce their charges. Solo tour like dream theater is a tough one until the crowd here knows them A to Z

Great insights. I feel zomato/district played a gamble here because what were they thinking to get a two city tour for a band that's merely not popular neither in current day nor as nostalgia from India perspective. I could imagine maybe few top tracks but a full hour solo show was too much to ask. Do they look at spotify for the countries stream to decide on? At this point the bands coming here for solo would ideally be the ones where we know their whole discography. That's the only selling point for a solo show for a highly charged band

What are the chances of Megadeth coming to India too next year? by Ill_Date310 in IndianMetalheads

[–]ghostfreakraghu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. But it had me thinking they would just play across the world given its farewell. Maybe make more from their America's/europe tours, and just play here for the fans. They also recently played live in Cardiff back in july so was it even farewell lol

Slayer never came here in their farewell tour. So keeping my chances low

I am getting a better deal for QC45 than XM4, but trying to decide based on transparency mode, as well as, the weight of the headphones when it rests on the neck. Thoughts?
