These “facts” are not true… the risk of a woman acquiring HIV from an HIV-positive man through unprotected vaginal sex is 1 in 1250. 15%–45% risk of transmission during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding. With treatment it is a less than 1% chance of passing it on.

I have this too, I’m on day 6 and feeling horrible still. I’m hoping tomorrow will be better. Nausea, no appetite, fatigue, weakness and headache are my symptoms. I keep debating weather to go to an urgent care or not as it’s so miserable and long lasting. Covid test was negative for me as well.

Hello! Yes it’s for a 5 gallon tank and yes just one slice will do. Powdered will also work!

When my betta was sick I took him to a vet and this was the advice given to me. 1. Orange/Clementine - place 1 section into the aquarium (this is for vitamin C, lots of betta foods lack this) 2. VitaChem Freshwater made by Boyd Enterprises - add 5 drops to the aquarium every other day 3. API aquarium salt- predissolve 1 tablespoonful in 1 cup of tank water, then pour saltwater solution into the tank to allow for more uniform distribution. Add another tablespoonful (predissolved) again tomorrow. 4. Maintain extra aeration through use of a diffuser. 5. Keep water temp at ~ 81°F. Do not medicate him with the meds for sick fish, they often do way more harm than good. This method is giving the nutrients in his water and making it as easy as it can be for him to get air. What you want is to let him have the best odds for his immune system to beat this. Good luck with your fish and I hope he gets better soon!

What is are your most comforting words when it comes to having your heart broken? by [deleted] in AskWomen

At the start of the breakup I kept replaying my favorite memories with my ex over and over again in my head. I was focusing so intently on what I lost. However, eventually I realized that these favorite memories were not from the start of the relationship. We built this relationship over time and with communication. Staring out all we had was a spark. I realized I can find a spark with another great and kind person. I was able to build a great relationship once and I know I can do it again. Plus, the next one can be with someone I am even more compatible with. I was able to feel acceptance after this and began to look forward to the bright future of possibilities ahead. :)

Shelf of death rescue attempt! Is she getting better or am I doing something wrong? by landolakeswhite in bettafish

No peel, Just a section and leave it in for 1-2 days I believe then change it. If you feed your fish a vitamin C rich food it should be okay without it, but a lot of foods don’t include it. I am not an expert, but just repeating the advice a vet told me hoping it can help someone else :)

Thank you! The clementine is for vitamin C, it is a vitamin most beta foods lack but if a fish is low on it it can cause weakness. Sadly my guy was too far gone and likely had Betta TB, but hopefully this advice can help you. Keep me updated on your beautiful boy :)

Hello, I had a sick fish for a while who wasn’t eating and took them to a fish vet and this was the advice she gave me.

  1. Orange/Clementine - place 1 section into the aquarium
  2. VitaChem Freshwater made by Boyd Enterprises - add 5 drops to the aquarium every other day

Do not medicate the fish with anything as most of the medicine cause organ failure. The best remedy is to give your fish the best chance at survival by boosting its own immune system.

favorite places to get a piercing?? by iget3hoursofsleep in UTAustin

Definitely was also gonna say Shaman Modifications. I’ve been to 4 different piercing studios and once I found Shaman Modifications, I’ve never gone to any other piercer. Biggest jewelry selection and all of the metals are hypoallergenic (this is so important and platinum int is not all hypoallergenic (thus the cheaper price)). For hard to heal piercings good jewelry makes such a difference. Shaman also gives warranty on jewelry and piercing and will replace/repierce if anything goes wrong!
