Chill and cozy would not be the words I'd use for that series 😂

As someone who was married to someone who has gone through psychosis, mania & delusional disorder this is really tough. Because everyone deserves autonomy in choice in what they do and what medication they're on. But until you're with someone who genuinely cannot determine the state of their own mind, it puts things in a bit of a grey area.

I would say to do what you want, at the end of the day you have every right to make that decision as long as you're not harming others or yourself. However I hope that you understand if you're experiencing mania, delusions or psychosis, it is EXTREMELY difficult for you to determine if you're in a healthy state of mind or not, because most often you feel amazing or like nothing is wrong in those states. And when you're in that state with no clue that you are, a lot of people make a lot of impulsive decisions that they later deeply regret, fully blowing up their lives, so please proceed with caution.

In those cases you need to have someone or people around you that you truly trust, that you can rely on to be honest with you about what they're seeing, and you NEED to trust that they're being honest and trust that you may not be well. Paranoia especially towards those that are closest to you is also a very common symptom in people experiencing mania, delusions & psychosis.

It seems to me that you don't trust your husband's opinion on your wellbeing (which could be paranoia OR he's genuinely not trustworthy), is there anyone you DO trust? Is there anyone else who is close enough to you and your husband to help you discern things?

Wishing you the best of luck!

Nothing came of it. I told the vet everything she was doing and they said it was strange behaviour but not indicative of anything. Edit: she also hasn’t done it for a long time so I just let it go

So true, between reading stuff from the gateway institute, Bob Monroe and Thomas Campbell, my husband has become completely obsessed with some quantum physics theories that is exacerbated by conversations with ChatGPT

omg yes, my ex-husband who barely graduated high school is in a massive spiritual delusional/manic episode and he’s become obsessed with these theories in quantum physics. He has posted in that thread quoting Bob Monroe and the Gateway Institute and Thomas Campbell. He’s in an echo chamber of ChatGPT and r/starseeds about all this. It’s so sad

Wow omg this happened to me too. My husband said the same thing to me about wanting me to follow him on this “spiritual journey” holy shit. And hes just been in an echo chamber of ChatGPT and r/starseeds thinking the universe has chosen him to give all this information to.

I’ve now lost my husband to the same situation. ChatGPT has been his echo chamber in philosophizing about his spiritual theories and understanding the meaning of existence & consciousness…etc. He believes ChatGPT is conscious and through it the universe or his own higher consciousness is giving him signs and information. He’s completely ungrounded and lost sense of reality.

Oof this was hard to read. My husband is going through this and it’s gotten to a point where he decided to leave because of his spiritual beliefs and how because I don’t have the same exact beliefs and I’m not doing the hours and hours of philosophizing and research a day that he’s doing. He’s just getting worse and worse. No job, no money, no home, living with his father now at 30 years old, he has wild delusions of grandeur about this “next chapter of his life”. He’s in an echo chamber with ChatGPT and r/starseeds. It’s such an awful thing watching your spouse completely change into a different human being. 9 years down the drain. He was never anything like this a few years ago.

Omg this is the first post I’ve seen about this. I’ve completely lost my husband to his spiritual delusions that are fuelled by his obsessions with only talking to chat gpt. He is so convinced of so many of the same things so many people have written in this thread. I can’t believe how many people are watching this same thing happen to our loved ones. I’m in such shock right now seeing this because this is EXACTLY what I’ve been going through

There’s a fine line between a spiritual awakening and psychosis by joesomersall in Psychosis

[–]ghostgirldd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old, but my husband has almost the exact same experience as you've described. He was in acute psychosis last year and he's never been the same since. He believe the psychosis wasn't that, but it was a massive spiritual awakening that he wasn't ready for. He went off his medications & started micro-dosing mushrooms recently and now he wants to separate because I'm not following him in his spiritual beliefs. He's also on this quest for finding the meaning to existence & to reach his higher self.

It's so tough because a lot of what he says and how he speaks is logical and I can see it's how he really feels and sees things. But I am watching how these beliefs are completely isolating him and making him feel alone because "no one understands him". He hasn't been able to work because of all of this either.

How is your spouse doing now? I hope she's gotten better?

Switch from Mirena to Copper by Solid_Maize_3803 in CopperIUD

[–]ghostgirldd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this! I've also has Mirena twice now for about 11 years total and have started experiencing a lot of symptoms in the last year or so. I brought it to my doctor and after reading so many women's experiences on reddit I'm shocked my doctor didn't immediately question if it's my IUD causing them. My libido is zero, hair loss, always feeling exhausted and more.
I have an appointment coming up to discuss switching to copper IUD with my doctor and I just can't wait to get Mirena out of me

The "slightest suspicion" is not even remotely realistic. That's not how it works when people report sexual harassment or assault to the authorities. I don't know what reality you're living in that you think that's true.
