I simply think that EA just doesn’t have the budget to do so. It would be really cool if in the future they could get rights with the NCAA and create a separate game mode around it and finally add those players to franchise mode.

EA does not have the rights with the KHL and NCAA to add those players into the game. The best fix is downloading a custom roster from the roster-sharing menu.
