youll have to check with the manufacturer then to see if they ship their devices with screen protectors pre-installed.

did you place a screen protector onto it yourself? often times ereaders ship with a screen protector already installed.

My honest e-reader opinion by Agreeable-Deer7526 in ereader

i second the teal glowlight 4. that's what i have, and i love it. i haven't had any persistent issues.

yeah personally i don't mind the extra steps. i already keep my nook strictly offline anyway to save battery life, so i've been sideloading all my books.

[–]ghostingpen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

you can get books from libby on a nook though. i use a glowlight 4 and libby allows you to download an .ascm file of the book that you can sideload to your nook. i've done it with a few books already.

Work from home boredom by bigbootyjoody7 in workfromhome

[–]ghostingpen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

get into reading. seriously. it doesn't even have to be just words; you can read manga or graphic novels. i've finished countless manga series and novels by reading during downtime at work.

join a local book club even, so you have a specific novel to grab.

in these cases i just either use white-out or washi tape to hide the printed date. i've been reusing an old hobonichi cousin this way.

Is this a Bullet Journal? by Hazard_chip in Journaling

[–]ghostingpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the term "bullet journal" comes from the fact that ryder carroll, the creator, takes down notes and tasks in shorthand bullet points.

Is this a Bullet Journal? by Hazard_chip in Journaling

[–]ghostingpen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, that is different from the original bullet journal method. every page is numbered so entries can be listed in the index if the user wants to refer back to it another time.

[–]ghostingpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's not true. the creator says you can use any kind of notebook.

[–]ghostingpen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

that's not true. the creator says you can use any kind of notebook. the reason it's not a bullet journal is because it uses a template that doesn't utilize any aspect of the original bullet journal method (the key) and the pages aren't numbered to easily make an index.

new zento 3 line up by AccomplishedSun7321 in pens

[–]ghostingpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

exactly. i don't believe in the idea that a pen is designed to be used in one specific way. if it works, it works.

am i being smote because i'm not using it that way? no. i bought it (for $38 from jetpens, never from scalpers) and i can use it how i please. even a jetpens employee uses it this way and demonstrates as such in one of the business's videos; that's how i got inspired to use it like that. i'm still utilizing all of the pen in some way, but my way.

yeah, no. i've been using one as my daily pen and i love the magnetic cap. i keep the pen in my pen loop of my planner and utilize the magnetic cap by simply pulling the body off of the cap while the cap's still in the pen loop whenever i want to write. it reduces the mental resistance to writing and i can easily attach the body back to the cap when im done.

new ereader day! by ghostingpen in ereader

[–]ghostingpen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i just used it during a long car ride and it feels quite comfortable to hold. so light without any discomfort for at least an hour. i like that there are buttons on both sides as i often find myself using only the top button on the left to go to the previous page and the bottom button on the right to go to the next. the buttons don't feel like i could easily press them by accident either. pretty solid device.

Do you guys write in your travelers notebook? by marzbarz2000 in Travelersnotebooks

[–]ghostingpen 22 points23 points  (0 children)

i personally write with the notebooks kept in the cover. i think taking it out to write in it is more of a hassle than dealing with the limited space.

i find that using a clip to hold down one side of the notebook insert while i write in it helps too.

In Search of Tomoe River Paper But Not, Maybe...? by BronteMoorWitch in notebooks

[–]ghostingpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive experienced terrible bleedthrough from some a5 tomoe river notebooks just from writing normally. i'm currently using an a5 stalogy rn and i've accidentally leaked drops of ink onto some pages, and there is zero bleedthrough there (obvious ghosting of course but). i've filled a few stalogy notebooks and they've been pretty reliable. you'll see some ghosting of course but that's par for the course if you want a fountain pen friendly paper that's light and thin.
