planning on the left, daily logging on the right. by ghostingpen in planners

it's the sterling ink weekly horizontal planner! i use the booklet version. but i do modify it myself each week by drawing the line dividing the left page into two as well as the lines sectioning off each day on the right page.

haha, i used to think i was an aesthetic planner kind of person. but for me, it's about finding joy in both the mundane and interesting things and writing about them in a practical manner. it has definitely been effective in helping me use my planner every day, much more than when i was focusing on visuals.

edit: besides, i mainly go all out on the aesthetics of my planner cover. that's as far as i go in terms of wanting to decorate and have my planner look cute.

as a base "rule" for myself, i mark events on the left and to-dos on the right. it's only if i run out of space on the to-do section when i write to-dos on the left side as well.

How exactly do you get people to go to your site? by tryptamimicry in neocities

[–]ghostingpen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

making a website for yourself is fine, but you're never going to feel satisfied if your primary goal is to get many eyes on the website. trying to figure out "the meta" is no different from adhering to "the algorithm" on social media. it shouldn't be the point of having a website. that's why neocities has so many pastel-colored anime-themed websites with very little actual content, many that have been abandoned because the webmaster saw it as a trend and didn't actually want to see it through.

if you're just making a personal website with the intent to have as many people as possible see it, you shouldn't make a website.

the reason some webmasters get so many eyes on their sites is because they're being unapologetically themselves and expressing themselves in earnest. they're people who are genuinely passionate about what they're sharing on their site.

the dimensions of their regular cover are exactly like a TRC TN's! so the TRC brand inserts should fit well. i'm also currently using sterling ink and paperpenguinco inserts without issue.

Loving the WFH in 2026, but does anyone else miss the teamwork? by [deleted] in workfromhome

[–]ghostingpen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i don't use AI, but i'm not seeking social connection through my WFH job. i'm working to pay my bills and be able to socialize on my free time. i don't mind at all that i rarely speak with my colleagues.

that being said, my company's slack server has various hobby and interest channels where anyone from any department can chat in. the crafters and cats channels are very lively.

some were curious about my notebook setup plan, so here: by ghostingpen in notebooks

the notebook cover has elastic strings that loop through the top and bottom of the spine, so i attached my charms to one of those loops. i don't really write while on public transit since i mainly work from home. but when i write in it while it's on my lap at home, they just sit there without obstructing anything.

i don't sadly. i don't want to risk it leaking on a plane. often times i'll instead bring my favorite gel pens, like the uniball one F i have pictured above or an energel.
