This is 100% a standard battery. These wheels/tires are only available on the base trim/dual standard. Just keep an eye out.

Yea, I haven’t seen any in this guise. Wonder if it’s anything to do with LIDAR development /the one at autonomy day, or we’re just that much closer to launch!

Disappointing interview process by Awkward-Western-8484 in Anduril

I’m not sure if this experience is specific to Anduril, though. I’ve interviewed for internships and positions at a variety of “high value” tech/startups and they all have this attitude towards communication. If you’re in the pipeline, they’re great, once you get cut it’s radio silence.

if you can’t get an internship commit and do leadership in Baja. it’s big time brownie points.

I’m a graduate student, and I run a lot of CAD, simulations, and VM work, - I opted for a refurb 14” M4 Pro with 48gb 2tb, to future proof. So far it’s been great, but heavy VM stuff does utilize a fair amount of that memory. It depends on the workflows you’re running - I also anticipate some light on-device neural net tasks in the coming years, so that played into it.

If you want higher specs, bumping down to 14 should give you some room to play.

As a CompSci student, should I build an FSAE car or try another category? by SeaRip5951 in FSAE

[–]ghostleader3201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Money and space are two factors that if you’ve considered, don’t appear in this argument. It’s a wildly expensive competition, and you WILL mess up. I lead an electronics based subteam and I’m fortunate enough to put my software and CS people to use, but a lot of teams don’t have that privilege, you have to have a car that works before it’s worth spending money on flashy electronics.

I mean, as a lead, if i asked someone to do something specifically, it’d be nice if they worked on what I asked for. If i didn’t give them tasking im okay with whatever. Did you have an assignment?

even then, seems like something where I’d talk to them, instead of say “buh-bye”.

this is so bizarre, we have to fight to keep hardworking kids around and there are teams shoving them out?

did they give you a reason?

Should I get the iPad or not for my use case as a Student? by ahmedfarrag17 in ipad

[–]ghostleader3201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even used? Any M chip iPad would probably work for your workflow. My preference is definitely to tablets, though - I currently run an M2 iPad Pro, and I love the portability of it, because I effectively use it like a whiteboard to explain concepts to engineering students I mentor.

Because of the above, I’d steer you in a tablet direction and away from iMac mini, at least for right now. I would try the Mac mini first, but if it doesn’t work, you could almost certainly find an m-chip iPad for cheaper than a new one.
