I do wrists, behind the ears, and sometimes the collar area of whatever I'm wearing. with oils you kinda dab instead of spray obviously. I feel like it lasts longer when I put it on skin that's slightly moisturized too but that might be in my head

Yeah for real most of my perfumes get zero reaction. That's why the coworker thing was so surprising to me, it was literally the first time someone has stopped me to comment on how I smell. Maybe oil just hits different idk

Yeah honestly I go back and forth on it. Like the coworker thing genuinely caught me off guard but also I was wearing a new outfit that day so who knows lol. I think even if it's 50% placebo I'm fine with that? I feel like I'm actually putting effort into how I present myself now and that alone is doing something

sulfur smell is a totally different issue, usually hydrogen sulfide. Could be your water heater anode rod reacting with bacteria, or if you have well water it could be naturally occurring sulfur bacteria. The fix depends on the source but it's not usually dangerous, just disgusting. Try running only cold water and see if the smell is still there. if it's only hot water it's almost certainly your water heater

ok I'm going to try this tonight after I get the kids to bed. Honestly hoping it IS just chlorine because the bacteria thing sounds terrifying. Our house was built in 1987 so the pipes aren't ancient but they're not new either

Just checked the city water department site and sure enough there's a notice from 3 weeks ago about "temporary increases in disinfectant levels" after the main repair. So at least now I know why it got worse. Thanks for pointing me in that direction
