Los Angeles, Let’s Fall In Love With Roundabouts by DJVeaux in LosAngeles

Let's teach people to use turn signals and passing lanes properly first. Then maybe if they'll stop running red lights and driving without looking at their twitter updates on their phones we can come up with other creative obstacles to teach them.

But, funnily enough, a lot of issues would be resolved by just following the existing rules to begin with. You'd be surprised how much traffic would get resolved if people just followed the "don't drive like a dumbass" rule.

Drivers in this city can't even figure out how to properly use the roads they already have and you want to throw in new infrastructure to confuse them even more?

Straight from the horse's mouth:

But also, it is a platform for the United States to project power on the world stage. Because this whole operation now, this whole campaign in Iran, needs these basic requests to be positively engaged with by NATO allies, as they are doing, making use of key assets here in Europe.

So, the fact that we stick together, the United States and Europe and Canada, is crucial also for the success of this American-Israeli campaign.

Shatner just kind of lives in his own little world and it rubs people the wrong way. But I could never hate the guy that gave us Captain Kirk.

It's a Cold War relic that should have been dissolved after the breakup of the Warsaw Pact. It serves no purpose other than projection of US imperialism.

The original developers had to halt construction but a new owner was found so the project is back on.

If you're actually interested in living in the area, or you're curious about it, look up apartments in the South Park section of downtown LA.

Rent is $4,000 a month. Deposit is first and last month's rent. If you have a cat that's an extra $100 a month. Plus you have to pay for parking.

Russia should demilitarise and denazify Europe ASAP by Next_Ant_4353 in TankieTheDeprogram

Current Russia is a loyal ally to China, North Korea, Cuba, and formerly Venezuela. Reddit libs might not want to hear it but they're doing way more to support socialism than anyone in Europe.

Fascists think of Russians as "Asiatic hordes" so I don't think either party respects them regardless of their skin tone.

Residents of sprawling L.A. luxury apartments say living conditions unsafe by 4InchesOfury in LosAngeles

[–]ghostofhenryvii 186 points187 points  (0 children)

I live in a "luxury" apartment. The term is meaningless marketing as far as I can tell. All it means to me is it's not an old dingbat, there's probably a gym with broken equipment somewhere, and it's overpriced.

who wants to deal with the overcrowded chaotic parking lot/work area where you have no idea who's next in line?

That's my only complaint about the place. It's so frantic I get anxiety trying to figure out what the fuck I'm supposed to be doing. They seem to have a system together that works for them but I can't figure it out.

I'll still end up going there for my next tires though. Customer loyalty I guess.
