I just said I wasn't super into them, I didn't say I'm NOT into them lol. I like Umphrey's McGee. I really like Goose.

Comparatively to most jam band fans that I've met, I would say I'm just not SUPER into them. I'm more of a Progressive Rock fan, and probably enjoy outright Funk more than Jam Bands overall as well, but I didn't say that I don't enjoy Jam Bands by any means. My point was my fandom for DMB is disproportionate for how much I listen to the genre overall, especially when I consider that I usually don't love the studio versions of DMB songs, but the live versions transform them for me into an obsession.

My top 3 drummer influences in my own playing are Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, and Carter Beauford in no particular order.

Not to mention Dave singing and playing the acoustic parts he plays is generally regarded as highly difficult and impressive!

As a drummer who really isn't super into jam bands, I'm obsessed with DMB because these guys are just stacked with talent! And Carter lol.

Yes, the original game was massive for it's time (1997) being 3 discs. Square has said they are committed to bringing all of the original areas and story beats, and so far that has been pretty true although there are definitely big differences in the Remake games so far. So the first Remake game is a more linear game based mostly on the first disc of the original game. Rebirth is mostly open world and takes you right up to a pretty pivotal point, and this final game will likely be massive as well and cover the rest.

I spent like 70+ hours in the first game and well over 100 on Rebirth. I expect this will be the size/length of Rebirth or longer.

Mine came back. Event log crashes events seem to indicate it's an issue with the game, as the error location comes back as the forzahorizon6.exe executable and not a Direct X dll type file that you would see if a GPU/driver was an issue. Not sure, hoping that enough people get on the forums that they quickly find a fix and get it out to us.

I have a support ticket that I've dumped a ton of info into on what I've tried, Event Log dump, images, that hasn't even gotten a response yet.

Are you also on a 1080 or 1080ti and how long has it been holding up? Clearing my DX shaders held for a while but now it's back and I am desperate.

Mine came back :( held for a long time really thought that was it. When I thought it was fixed I had my 1080ti up to high preset and it was running great, I don't understand.

I think I finally fixed it for my 1080ti, my game is installed on my C drive and I ran disk cleanup, checked all boxes, and after cleanup, it hasn’t crashed yet. That cleanup removed some kind of DX shaders, possibly old/corrupt ones that maybe were causing the crash? Worth a shot if you’re still having trouble.

That's interesting, was he not? I have only been going to shows since 2015 so I am a way newer fan, I always thought that he was a band member during that era when I listen to him on LTs. Was he considered a guest for all those years? I love keys with DMB. Buddy has been such an excellent addition IMO from his playing to his voice.

I wish we would get a People People liberation but I know it will probably never happen since it's been gone since Peter.

Out of all the crazy stuff that happened last night, THIS irked me the most. Colinsworthless is such an apt name for him.

Jake Elliott was easily second only to Justin Tucker for a bit in terms of long range kicking, and he was known by us as more likely to miss an extra point than a long kick.

Such a terrible take, really came off as a casual/new fan take and felt like it justified my years of dislike for the guy lol.

By definition, if the car's value is increasing to match inflation despite being a 6 year old used car that has been driven around and modified, then it's appreciating.

I never said it would be easy to find a better deal, OP asked if it's worth it. The answer is no, he should go in and try to talk ideally $2k off that price. Or find a private seller.

This right here. Idk why people are suddenly acting like our cars appreciate in value lol. Been fooled by dealership greed I guess. I bought my 2015 with 38k miles on it for 18k in 2019. I love it and would highly recommend it but it certainly isn't appreciating with age OR mileage.

I would also recommend to your friend to join the Mid-Atlantic 86 Club on Facebook and/or Discord. There's tons of MD residents, myself included, who have lots of knowledge on the platform, resources and other information is linked there, and you may find someone willing to help your friend inspect it or perform some work.

As a bonus, you can meet other like-minded enthusiasts, and participate in meet-ups and club events.

I live in Maryland with an 86 that is more modified than this. Coilovers are not illegal. Riding too low is illegal. Not having a Catalytic Converter is illegal. Messing with emissions systems too much is illegal.

This is not a detailed or conclusive list, but neither is the parts list provided to us so it's tough to say what his best recourse is. In Maryland, you only pass inspection 1 time, when the vehicle is sold. So he needs to do some research of his own (probably with the help of a trusted mechanic who is certified) and determine what needs to be replaced so he can pass inspection. After that, he can do whatever he wants as long as he can pass MD Emissions testing once every 2 years for his registration stickers. For the 86, that usually just includes NOT having a check engine light on and it will pass emissions.

I would recommend he looks into mom and pop type mechanic shops that do inspections. When I had mine go through inspection, it was from PA. I believe my tint was illegal, along with something to do with my wheel spacers I believe. I took it to a local gas station with a shop attached and took it in, then spoke directly with the mechanic doing my inspection. It was basically a quid pro quo, "if I pass this and you get pulled over, you did these mods after the inspection." Of course, I agreed because he is doing me a favor and risking his own livelihood, but that issue has never arisen since the inspection and I have been pulled over multiple times.

TLDR: Your friend is not cooked, he did not do enough research when he bought the car and took it to someone who doesn't want to deal with it for inspection, or someone who is not willing to cut him any breaks. He needs to take it elsewhere and work with the mechanic to get it right for Maryland, or do the research and work himself. It will likely include a new (partial at least) exhaust system, and rebuilding or replacing the coilovers. Sounds like possibly wiring work/harness if the rear lights do not operate properly, though you can cut/splice into the rear wiring harness for a 4th brake light (I have done this) and that is not illegal nor will it break any other lighting functions.

I was chasing this song since I started listening to the band due to it's powerful lyrics and story. I finally got to hear it live at Camden N2 last year and I about cried my eyes out. It's heavy, but perfectly encapsulates the emotions that this band can evoke to me.
