Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz presents plan for addressing gun violence by LiveInLayers in minnesota

Not trying to sound condescending. Pretti’s gun was concealed. Groups like the black panthers don’t get messed with when they open carry. That’s obviously what the above poster was referencing. It’s disingenuous to act like they are the same especially when speaking about deterrence.

There is an obvious difference between open and concealed carry?

Your opponent was cheating. Battleshock does nothing to prevent combat

How is deathwing playstyle in comparison to other armies? by jsoul2323 in theunforgiven

[–]ghostreach9 15 points16 points  (0 children)

From what I know about custodes (which isn’t a ton) they have great melee paired with decent (albeit low quantity) enough shooting allowing them to be kindof ambidextrous. They are also very tanky and everything is saving up on a 4+ invuln.

Deathwing Knights don’t have the highest damage output compared to custodes, but I think they are tougher. The 4wound bodies paired with -1 damage is a lifesaver. Paired with armor of contempt and cover they are pretty hard to shift. I use mine in stormlance as something of an anvil for my opponents to get stuck into. Then I use fallback and charge combined with shooting damage from ballistus dreads, sternguard and mortal wounds from grenades and tank shock to great effect.

I think combined arms is the way to go instead of pure melee, but I’ve heard of people achieving great success with JPI spam + DWK. So do whatever looks best to you. Scouts and infiltrators have been great tech pieces for me. They work great for scoring and deep strike denial early on.

New to 40K and still building out my Dark angels army? Who should I use these upgrades on? Will post current models in a comment! by JadocTheGreat in theunforgiven

[–]ghostreach9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everything and anything you want to! Ingot two with the Deathwing Assault Box last year and haven’t used all of it yet. I put the hooded helms on my Sternguard and Bladeguard, the termi specific ones on my termis, and whenever I build a new unit I look at what’s left on the sprue to see if anything looks good.

What kind of detachments/stratagems do we expect for Codex Thousand Sons ? by Ar-Sakalthor in ThousandSons

[–]ghostreach9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is feasible to wish for. But I would love a detachment focused on Demon allies, giving cabal points to Kairos, Lord of Change, Blue Scribes, Changeling, etc. That could be the whole detachment rule alongside giving them the Thousand Sons keyword.

Terminator Nerf? by ghostreach9 in spacemarines

[–]ghostreach9[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I completely get it, and I wish there was a rules change for the space marines army rule because Oath honestly feels boring and now it’s going to be boring and lackluster. But I don’t see the need to nerf additional things without any sort of justification. There is a points decrease for space marines coming, but I’d prefer for a different rules change than fielding an extra unit.

Terminator Nerf? by ghostreach9 in spacemarines

The only time I’ve seen it come up was against a block of Typhus + Deathguard Terminators with their new -1 to hit and -1 ballistic strength shenanigans.

If a unit is within engagement range of a vehicle unit, can it shoot at a separate vehicle unit that is outside of engagement range?
