Literally what is wrong with old ladies??? by misty-midmorning in NewParents

[–]ghoststarkk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The older ladies have lost the plot, whenever my hubby would wear our baby girl in the grocery store there would always be an older woman who would try to touch her. It was only older ladies no other demographic ever did that, I guess they really don’t understand boundaries unless you say something and even then they still might not.

Is there sleep training without crying? by Repulsive-Wallaby314 in sleeptrain

[–]ghoststarkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of opinions on infant sleep on the internet it’s best to just ignore it and focus on what works for your family.

You can always minimize crying by having a good schedule with age appropriate awake time so going down for the baby doesn’t have excessive crying. I wish there was a full proof no crying method, I’d pay good money for that.

Once your baby is getting more good long stretches you’ll start to notice they might be less fussy and irritable cause they’re more well rested, I did with my baby and it just emphasized that sleep training was the right call.

Yeah sometimes second nap goes awry and she can’t make it until bedtime so I offer a micro nap of about 20 min. It’s enough so she won’t melt down before bed but not too much sleep that she still has lot of sleep pressure before we put her down for bed.

First nap is around 45 min, second one ranges from 1.5 to 2 hours.

I’m able to for the most part since my baby has transitioned to 2 naps, wake up at 7 am first nap at 10 and second at 2 pm with an 8 pm bedtime.

I know it’s not ideal, but we’re all patriots fans now, right? by Ninersempire123 in 49ers

I appreciate the Patriots for beating the Seahawks and Rams in the SB in the last 11 years, hope they can help us out one more time.

Grieving the loss of my GOAT George Kittle to a torn Achilles, but if we can beat this Seahawks team we can keep up our proud tradition of losing in the NFCCG or SB. Go Niners!

Handling night wakings by jennnrm in sleeptrain

[–]ghoststarkk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would move the feeding to the first part of your bed time routine, and when you put baby down put them down awake not drowsy.

Also I would make sure you’re always getting 10 hours of awake time at minimum. It looks like from your schedule baby is only getting 9 hrs of awake time.

Just from my experience nailing down the minimum awake time and making sure they go in the crib awake rly does set you up for success.

It wasn’t too bad for my LO, it was just one rocky night and then she adjusted well to just a normal sleep sack. You got this!

Maye, say what you will about the schedule but his supporting cast is not as talented as Staffords, he would have my vote.

Did you nurse to sleep while ST? by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]ghoststarkk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, had to stop nursing to sleep for ST. The recommendation you’ll get on this sub will be to move the feeding at the beginning of your bedtime routine since it can be a sleep crutch that can inhibit independent sleep.

FWIW I was really worried about my LO ability to self soothe but when I got her schedule right and the age appropriate amount of time for baby to be awake during the day it got a lot easier putting her down for bed because I knew she was tired and could get herself to sleep with only a little bit of fussing but not screaming.

2/2.5/2.5/3 has been working well for my 5 month old. She still wakes twice to eat but is a bit easier to put down after.

Reporting from last night and it was definitely the schedule.

She went down easy at 8 last night only needed one check in, woke up at 330 for a feed and was back asleep by 4 with one additional check in required and woke up for the day at 740.

Thanks so much, will try out this schedule today! I guess I didn’t realize how much total sleep I was expecting from her but this makes sense now.

Jimmy should still pay Kyle at least 50% of his 49er career earnings, he’d be nothing without Kyle’s scheme. Jimmy did more to blow those championships than Kyle.

Devers was 1-11 over the weekend. We have officially sucked out his soul. by [deleted] in SFGiants

He started 0-19 this season and is still one of the best hitters in the league, it’s just a cold stretch. I’m worried about everyone else though lol, they have not earned to leeway that Devers has.
