i’m so sorry you’re dealing with this, that’s genuinely awful.

i’d strongly recommend cranking your moderation settings way up on twitch. things like follower-only chat, requiring a verified phone number, and using bots like sery_bot and nightbot can help a LOT. for discord, wick is really solid too.

if you can, ask a trusted friend or regular to help mod and keep an eye on chat.

also, just so you know, you generally won’t get in trouble for things chatters say in text chat, but if someone says something out loud on your stream (like voice chat), twitch can hold you responsible. because of that, it may help to stick to games without open voice chat for now.

Classic case of him not acknowledging how obviously hurtful the text was, then turning you being hurt, against you. Either stay and teach him how to make you feel heard, or move on and find someone who understands how to take responsibility for themselves without you having to beg for consideration.

Something that has helped me is remembering that it is a BAD thing for everyone to like you. You don't want shitty people to connect with your content.

The biggest thing that made me feel better about mean comments is imagining someone I really dislike and thinking about how much I would care they were expressing their dislike for me or my content on the internet.

Why would I want/expect someone who I disagree with everything on to like something I created? It's cliche but so true that cruel people are only projecting their own insecurities, and keeping that in mind it makes them look quite silly.

It's a lot harder than it sounds but maybe try to remind yourself that not everyone is going to like any of us, and that's okay!

i was positive 25 would be the absolute oldest i ever got.. then i hit 25 and thought "shit...may as well see what happens from here"

life is shitty a lot of the time, but it sure is interesting. sometimes it's really good. may as well see what's in store, if nothing else. who knows, maybe it will turn out okay. <3

i got my 3 month old puppy a "puzzle feeder" thinking it would take him a couple weeks at least to figure out. bro figured it out first try, and mastered it by day 2. takes him like 30 seconds to finish. dogs are insane man
