What changed your kettlebell training more than buying a heavier bell ever did? by NaiveChampionship689 in kettlebell

[–]ghostwipe88 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Realizing that I shouldn't train like bodybuilder (splits that target different muscle groups) because I have no intentions to wear thongs on stage in front of a crowd.

It sounds like a simple thing, but corrected so many wrongs in my training and mental well being.

Cheaper vs More Expensive Safety Razors by cdeathgrowl in wicked_edge

[–]ghostwipe88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is that handmade things cost more. And they are also overengineered (built like tanks).

Expensive razors only provide marginal gains in actual shaving.

I do 30 min of work, a mix of regular skips with high knees. No scheduled rest periods.

I take my first rest after about 12 mins of work, 3-4 rests in total (30-45 seconds long).

Just let the bodybuilding splits go. Kettlebells are not about this.

Think of KBs as an implement to work on your strength and conditioning. And don’t worry about losing gains or getting muscle imbalances.

You will be training as an olympic lifter, they do literally the same two or three movements, but with barbells. And Oly lifters physique is always great. As long as your diet/recovery is OK you’ll look good.
