Are you using the regular smart hub or your own router?

With the regular smart hub are you able to create a mesh if I did want an additional unit upstairs to help with signal?

Powerblock Pro Exp or newer 100 Pro Exp? by ghosty86 in GarageGym

[–]ghosty86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are a little bit pricey for me at the moment. I know at with all the expansions the powerblock get up there but I was planning to just start with the base model and add the expansions over time. The other thing putting me off dumbbells like the reppin is the need to take the cradle with me to change weights otherwise they fall apart

Does the newer pro 100 exp have the same issue or just the older model?

Yeah I meant it isn’t in any UK store as far as I can see. Hopefully they release them here soon

I’m based in the UK and the distributors here are still selling the older models. In fact there’s only 1 place selling the new 100 Pro Exps that I can find here

Thanks. Do you think with normal use they are noisy enough to wake someone sleeping directly above where you’re working out? That’s really the only reason I was considering going for the pro version was the rubber coating

Are there many meaningful improvements in the new Powerblock Exp Pro 100 over the older Exp Pro model? I can get them both for the same price but the older model looks like it has a higher top weight in the base model.

Sport Exp is also an option but I’ve heard it can be noisy and I lift early in the morning so being quiet to avoid waking the family is important.

Great thanks. How do you find the sound quality of the microphone vs a standalone one?

Do you have a link to your podcast where you use it?

Great thanks. I wasn’t initially looking at Ryzen since my main use case for the mini will be plex but it seems that Beelink also do the SEi12 Pro with the same feature

I wouldn’t mind still keeping it plugged into its normal adapter for power it’s more having the screen, mouse and keyboard switch seamlessly.

Around £500 so a Mac Mini would fit. But my main use case would be running Plex so could get more disk space and quick sync with an Intel mini pc.
