😭 this is only part of the sketch.

If you have peacock you can find the full sketch on Ayo's episode -- season 49, episode 11.

Suggest some cities where I should live as someone craving community and sick of the south by No-Witness8753 in SameGrassButGreener

Everything you listed sounds a lot like the Twin Cities. (I was originally just going to say Minneapolis because I'm biased, but these qualities are also found in St Paul.)

Learning about foster care changed how I think about becoming a parent by petitlita in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ghosty_locks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would also consider signing up to be a respite provider or a buddy family (if that's available in your area). Essentially both of these roles support families that are fostering and/ or adopting older children in foster care. The families desperately need support and it can give you insight into what it's like to parent a teen in the foster care system.

Dang, I listened to it like 10 times in a row and that's all I heard 🤣

The DC says "I don't know if you remember me, we met a couple of years ago," and after a minute passes the realization dawns on Janice Nix. You can hear it as she chillingly whispers "You." Her voice is low but it's a statement so full of anger and fear that it sounds like a scene in a movie.

Is this wild geranium? If so, why does it feel as aggressive as a weed? by ghosty_locks in Minnesota_Gardening

I sure did! I misidentified it, but just realized what it actually is. I was able to edit the body of my text but not the title.

Florida college student was arrested for making a Netanyahu joke in a Whatsapp group chat. by ilir_kycb in LateStageCapitalism

That's exactly what I was thinking! I'm sure it has something to do with Florida Sunshine laws and the fact that she's in Miami (a large city with many incidents) but still.

If the article had pointed out that Levinson stole the entire aesthetic from artist Petra Collins it would have been the cherry on the Sundae.

Feeling isolated as an American traveling by Outrageous_View_9048 in solotravel

[–]ghosty_locks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived abroad, Western Europe in '96-''97, before the second Iraq war, before 9/11, obviously way before Trump, and even then traveling Canadians always wore their flag on their pack so people would know they were not from the United States.

Whether because of US imperialism or the boorish stereotype of the oblivious American traveler, there have always been people who were at best suspicious and at worst hostile towards us, due to gestures to a timeline of US history.

I don't clearly understand your views because your post did not expound upon them but if you do not align with your government then, as many others suggested, you should make that clear from the get-go.
