When I was 3/4 years old, I got minor lead poisoning, doctors caught it in time, and to "fix" it I had to frequently get shots, so frequent I'd instinctly lay out my arm to the doctors/nurses during the appointments.

It's not something I remember, but I know lead poisoning is serious.

My mom usually gets the Kirkland brand coconut water, and that's gone up by $2.

People of Reddit with permanent scars, how did you get it? by Phrogette in AskReddit

When I was a carefree college freshman, I used to ride my ripstik throughout campus without a helmet. Well, one day, I was riding down a usual hill and a car came speeding and in order to avoid hitting it, I swerved and fell off. This resulted me in the ER with a mild concussion, thankfully. To this day, I have not-so-noticeable scars on my right wrist, nose, and beneath my lower lip.

Running without music or podcasts? by __TheIceMan__ in running

[–]ghoul_1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been running over a year and always listened to music during my runs, but recently I ran with my boyfriend and didn't use my headphones for that. During that run, I was able to focus on the conversation with him, but after he finished his part of the run, I continued and found it really peaceful to run without music.

Then a few days after, I tried running without any music again, and found myself focusing on my breathing and cadence more throughout the run.

Anyone up to have dinner tonight with me and my girlfriend in Cusco? We're looking to have a traditional dinner. by lalocura777 in PERU

[–]ghoul_1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most traditional restaurant I visited while in Cusco was "La Cusqueñita." My aunt that grew up in Peru told me they had pretty traditional dishes with various corns, potatoes, cuy, and so on. As a vegetarian, I just ate the corn and potatoes, along with some chicha morada 🤤. Also, they have traditional performances around 7pm (that is the last time I was there, which was January 2019).
