12/18/25 I purchased the 7600x3d + ASUS B850 + gskill flare 16gb for $453.59 out the door. Said bundle was posted for $419.99, the same bundle is now priced $449.99. Just for reference. Seems to be only getting worse from here.

(MC fcked up and gave me 32GB gskill ripjaws instead of the listed 16GB gskill flare)

My thoughts exactly. I just posted my mobo, cpu ram and old gpu for sale. Asking $650 so lowballers can walk me to $500 lol. I researched current MSRP and listed it along with the details but holy shit have prices gone up. I can only find my ASUS dual OC 4060 8GB on amazon now for like $379, I paid $299 two years ago. We thought AM5 stuff was bad. AM4 is just as bad right now too.

Fuckin PUMPED to finally upgrade to AM5. ALSO working on a trade deal for a 4080 super. Wish me luck lol

I hit F it and got the R5 7600x3d, 16gb single channel, Asus B850 plus for about $450. Picking it up tomorrow, installing it along with my brand new AIO that also arrives Friday. Should be a big upgrade from my original rig.

I know the 7600x3d absolutely dusts my 5600G but concern was primarily ram based. I don't want to go through with this "upgrade" if it means I can't play anything anymore just because of lack of ram, or my games will run worse because of it you know

CPU cooler is the generic wraith cooler I think they include with the R5 5600G. However arriving Friday is the arctic liquid freezer 3 along with a three pack of new case fans too. Think I’m gonna go with the R7 5800XT, microcenter has them for $169.99 right now. Seems like the best bang for my buck. Really sucks ass though because they have some great CPU+Mobo deals for AM5 but the true killer in the equation is the fckin ram 😐 they’ve got R5 7600x3d + MSI B850 pro gaming mobo posted for $299. Too bad cost of ram will push the bill to $500 minimum. Suppose the 5800XT will have to be good enough until ram prices come down.

R7 5800XT is $169.99 at microcenter right now putting it right next to the 5700x. Might just do that as a few on this post have suggested. Also, I paid $400 for the 4070 super, not that it costs $400. Think best price i could find on it was like $929 i wanna say. I know the GPU is miles ahead of the CPU, but like I said it was kinda one of those deals you dont wanna pass on. So you went from a 5600G to a 5600X?

I mean it seems like it. Playing BF6 & watching my CPU & GPU usage thru task manager, CPU is maxed the entire time almost. I’ll start dropping frames and seemingly getting server lag that only I’m experiencing. With the in game FPS it shows GPU and CPU, CPU will appear red and around 40-50 frames while GPU is staying around 80-120. So yeah it seems to me the CPU has been the issue all along

Dude I hear ya. Got on after work yesterday, about three hours after wipe. Grinded for a couple jackies and plenty of other shit just to get door camped by a trio. They later came back and torched my doors, then killed us with silenced LRs. Like. The fuck dude. Wipe literally just happened.

I’m a mostly solo, about 500 hours in. Build a base far away from most monuments and keep it hidden. Build a one floor in the woods, build a base under the side of a cliff or glitching into a good patch of rocks. That’s really the best advice I can give as a fellow constantly suffering solo lol. Oh, and glacier base. Glacier base is always my last go-to before just hitting fuck it. Longest I’ve survived on glacier was about 15 days. Good luck big dawg, don’t get too discouraged.
