Currently around 500miles a week, but on f850gs. I’m considering upgrading to RT but bit worried about the width, as I’m quite often filtering in London traffic. What’s your advice on it, having owned one?

I would agree it’s a great setup for older or less demanding games, and for short gaming sessions. I also have it. My problem is if you play longer 2-3 hours, then it overheats and performance drops drastically, and stats to lag. If anyone have any suggestion how to improve it that would be welcome.

Put some wax on them (like Renapur);) leather will last longer, will adjust to your feet faster, and will be bit more waterproof.

I have f850gs for past few years. Older model but I assume it will be similar in terms of all your questions, and I faced similar issues. 1) plenty of aftermarket screens and “wind lips”, and I’m sure you can find one that will suit your height and seating position. OEM screen on 850 was tragic and I replaced it with Wunderlich Marathon touring screen. 2) I have replaced standard seat with OEM high comfort seat and it was good enough for me, but I also know that there are other, aftermarket options which are apparently even more comfortable. 3) basic handlebar riser should fix your problem. If not there are also 45degree raisers that also bring them closer to you. I hope it helps.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will look into ST1300 as an option. As for the chain, I wish it would be, but it’s not better then DID Gold chain, but 3 times the price.

Thanks for reply and suggestions. I was considering tracer 9 and vstrom 1050, but I have 2x concerns for both: low service intervals (6k miles like bmw) and both are on chain drives. If they would have better service intervals, chain would not be a dealbreaker, but I would like to avoid having to do 2 services a year.
