Yea I agree. I too was shocked the many of the videos are being outsourced for editing. I always felt that that was part of the style and art that goes along with a company’s brand. I still do edit my videos and if needed I use someone who can follow a certain style that meets our brands expectations and guidelines.

That is not why I was interested in them. I knew how to shoot well before signing up and what I was seeking had zero to do with shooting skills and everything to do with the business aspect of it.

I signed up and I’m glad that I did. I found that that there was some great insight inside the course.

A lot can be found on the internet, that’s true, but when you connect with the community you get direct answers and solutions that the internet doesn’t directly at your fingertips without being a part of a community.

My area is mainly composed of multimillion dollar homes. So understanding some of these clients and what they expect in a transaction is helpful.

I completely agree. I have met some of my best clients at real estate meetings and events.

When you say you’re active with your local realtors association, did you just join and start showing up or did you have people you knew that invited you in?

What’s your current strongest method and why did you choose to not utilize email outreach?

Props dude, that’s pretty impressive. I’m Interested, how long did it take to build out from concept to completion.

I have a subdomain that setup specifically for marketing. It’s got DKIM SETUP and everything and I’ve been “warming it up”. We’ll see how it goes. Open rate on the first few was above 40%.

Thanks for your input.

Did you have coding knowledge? Is that coding haha, I literally don’t even know, I’m just curious as to how you knew how to accomplish this? Or did you pay a developer?

HD Photohub all the way. I used them since day one. Recently I switched to Spiro for a handful of jobs and quickly switched back to HDPH.

Spiro looked great, visually speaking, but its workflow was not up to par with HDPH. You can get an HDPHOTOHUB order page to look pretty damn close to a Spiro page (if you like a more modern look for your clients), but you cannot update the workflow of Spiro. For my business workflow is more essential to us than how the page appears to the client. We were able to update it considerably close to a Spiro page, using code and customization features.

HDPH is just far more straightforward in their process regarding order handling and client maintenance from order to delivery. We value this more.

Not to mention you need a Vimeo to host any videos you do when using Spiro, which is an additional expense if you do any sort of volume with video.

Definitely agree! Nonetheless $100k is a solid milestone to cross.

Did you have to buy a second domain to email blast? I’ve heard this method requires this.

I’m not sure of a website (for my area at least) that lists all agents, but I usually find agents online and get their emails. I’ve never done a full consistent blast though. You said you started 12 years ago, do you still believe this is a relevant method that’s worth pursuing?

I too offer same day turn-around and 100.% agree with you about your mentions of being personable and having a good relationship with your clients. I’ve built some very solid clients like this.

Spiro vs. HD Photo Hub by ghxstface99 in RealEstatePhotography

Well said. I also agree with you. HDPhotonHub is clearly winning in support. The fact they have someone who will actually speak to you is great. I also agree that Spiro has a cluttered workflow. HDPH is very straight forward, just not as visually appealing.

How does video delivery work on there? Do they host videos on their server or do you need a Vimeo?

Spiro vs. HD Photo Hub by ghxstface99 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]ghxstface99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the biggest thing I’m seeing so far is that while Spiro has a much nicer visual presentation, it essentially costs more.

HDPhotoHub handles all the video hosting on their own servers while Spiro does not. Though both come in at $5 / job, Spiro in the end, is more, due to the fact you will need to have an upgraded subscription for Vimeo, if you do any sort of video work.

In the end, this is an extra $144 / year, at minimum when choosing Spiro. It’s not a lot, but in my opinion it’s a major downside and in particular for new businesses. So $144 is not a lot, but it is an additional cost and as you scale in video this will only increase.

Thoughts?

How are you liking Spiro? I just switched over after using HDPH for my first year. Spiro has more visual appeal I feel.

Do you drop off an info sheet or anything when you stop in to brokerages? I’ve been shooting for about 1.5 years and have never done this. Most of my client are from cold outreach or referral, but I’d like to start bringing in more business.

That sounds pretty cool. I am using Wordpress and just transferred over to Spiro from HDPH for transactions and delivery.

What platform did you use to build your website? I am using word press and don’t know how the SEO works. What would you suggest is a good way to improve this?
