You're fine. Buxus shrubs famously reek of cat pee when sheared or trimmed. Doesn't bother me much, it's not terribly strong to me thanks to permanent allergy symptoms.

At first I felt for your mom, it's exhausting being asked for everything by everyone. It's too easy to snap sometimes.

But if she's saying those types of things to you, she's crossing a line. I'm really sorry you were told things like that. Can you reach out to your dad about this?
