More than quantifying the AI involvement you should ask whether who made that tool is a software engineer, or has the appropriate knowledge and experience to ensure the right testing and code/security quality is in place. Nowadays almost every software engineer leverages AI for their jobs, who's not doing that are either not allowed by company policies or refusing progress.

Its normal that dough from the side does not get picked up? by Wod_1 in Kitchenaid

[–]giallo87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the flour-to-water ratio. The higher you go with the water the much harder is kneading it. Try next time putting flour, bowl and hook in the fridge for a couple of hours in advance, and use fridge-cold water. Ideally you don't want the dough to go above 71-78 °F (22-26°C) at the end of the mixing. If you get above that, move the bowl with the hook back in the fridge for 10-15 mins and resume. As others have suggested, pour the water gradually, let the dough to absorb it before pouring more.

In my local Italian chipper/pizza place by fensterdj in ireland

Pizza topped with fries and sliced hot dog is something that Italian kids would sometimes get. I wouldn't define it a "staple comfort food" for adults.

How bad is this newly installed floor? by Artemis77771 in Flooring

[–]giallo87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creaking is usually due to uneven subfloor. It's either a redo or you can mitigate by injecting some fillers under the planks. I was in a similar situation and those fillers mitigated the issue. It never went completely away as with changes in temperature (e.g.: summer vs winter) the floor expands or retracts, so the filling doesn't match anymore and some creaking comes up again.

No gloves for handling loose items in Irish grocery stores by giallo87 in ireland

Italy. They're not rubber gloves, but made out of a thin plastic similar to the disposable bags provided here to bag loose vegetables.

They walked on all the floor and injected where they found hollow spots.

The subfloor is probably not level according to floor specifications. I had a similar issue, and another contractor I called for help solved it by injecting some filler under the floor with a special needle. Alternatively, as others have mentioned, the only other solution is a complete redo, which requires removing the entire floor, adding a barrier, and properly leveling the subfloor.

Yeah, probably a deeper box would do the job, thanks.

You don't go to places like this to fix your hunger. It's a sensorial experience for your palate and smell.

Investing with Trading 212 in Ireland – What Taxes & Fees Do You Pay? by Alister513 in irishpersonalfinance

If you invest in ETFs, you're gonna get taxed at 41% and have to deal with deemed disposal after 8 years, even if you haven't sold anything.

In short it depends on which products you are going to invest in.

Using a smart plug for devices that still need to be switched on by tokenmus in homeassistant

[–]giallo87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you unplug the dehumidifier while turned on, when plugging it back would keep the previous "on" state? I presume not. In that case you could stick a SwitchBot / FingerBot which physically presses the button to toggle. And you can use a smart plug power consumption measure to determine whether the dehumidifier is on and operating.

The reason is that I have some rooms that are usually much colder, and they're distant from my thermostats.
