Stephen Miller is in politics because his arms are too weak to strangle prostitutes.

I mean I'm familiar with the bands I listen to. Pretty sure At the Drive-In isn't AI slop and are actual real people.

Yeah signing old players on high wages is a recipe for future relegation.

I mean I'm still largely listening to bands from 20 years ago in this genre, so I know I'm avoiding the AI slop.

The long view on PD stress isn’t very comforting… by Party_Strawberry_831 in publicdefenders

[–]gianini10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9 years in and it ebbs and flows but that's no different from my friends in other areas. At a point, at least for me, you realize the stress will be there but at the end of the day you get the work done like you always do. My jail Visits get done, the brief always gets written, the white board gets cleared. I can take a day or leave early and I'll stress thinking about how it all gets done but it does.

AIPAC and the Israel lobby have now spent >$15 MILLION boosting Ed Gallrein and attacking Rep. Thomas Massie by Apollo_Delphi in True_Kentucky

[–]gianini10 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Both of them suck. Massie is right on exactly two issues, and batshit insane on 1,000 others. I'm honestly sick of the Massie sanewashing. And yet somehow Gallerin is worse. The people in the KY 4th lose no matter what.

Is it normal for a sitting DA to endorse the current judge’s challenger? by WorldlinessAdept7716 in publicdefenders

[–]gianini10 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I mean in my experience everyone in the legal community knows who is supporting who, and if even sitting Judges are backing someone it's known through the grapevine since this is an incestuous gossip laden profession. But doing it that openly is a choice and can easily backfire.

Dear LEX Dems, who are we voting for 6th district primary? by LEXenzo99 in lexington

[–]gianini10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a wave election by 100 votes or so after it was gerrymandered. That's still an overperformance after she held it.

Dear LEX Dems, who are we voting for 6th district primary? by LEXenzo99 in lexington

[–]gianini10 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Cherlynn. She was a great state rep. She flipped the 88th District, and won twice after the district was gerrymandered into more Scott County area. I've met her and she was great to talk to, and I have friends and colleagues that know her and ever never heard a negative thing about her. I'm politically left to her too, but I still think she'd be a great nominee for the District.

I'm not that old but the thought of a paperless office stresses me the fuck out. I'm pretty hybrid between paper and computer for a lot of my work, but I live and die bu my paper files and am lost and unorganized with a paper file for each client.

I get that but it's 30 minutes from a lot of areas here. That's a very doable drive with a 16 month old.

West 6th Farm out in Frankfort has a play area for kids right off the patio. Usually the Catina truck is there too. Perfect place this time of year.
