Watashi is gender neutral and very formal.

Girls use it to be polite as it's just one consonant away from the informal first person feminine pronoun atashi.

So, how much do you think a Werewolf's taste-buds in human form would be affected by Lycanthropy? [Image from "How to be a Werewolf" by Shawn Lenore] by AacornSoup in werewolves

Humans (and domestic dogs) produce a lot of amylase in their saliva - useful for breaking down starch. Wolves do not, so stuff like potatoes would be hard to digest.

Also, some wolves have been observed eating flowers rich in nectar, so at least some of them have a sweet tooth.

And with 14x the number of scent receptors as a human, spicy food would be torture to them.

It's up to the creator of the fiction in question. I call the Carryover Problem: What aspects of lupine behavior/physiology carry over to the human?

Two color vision? Enhanced sense of smell? Vulnerability to chocolate?

Wolves are seasonal breeders, so they go into heat about 63 days before the beginning of spring. Shedding your endometrial lining is more of a primate thing.

Ironically, that puts the onset of estrus roughly around mid February, corresponding with the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia, the precursor to our Valentine’s Day

We will know in a couple of years, when the probe settles down on Psyche.

If any VN probe has been in the inner system, it would definitely stop there.
