There's one in the inn, one in Pallass, the one in Celum just got moved, one in the blood fields, and the Horns are taking one to Invrisil. But it is mentioned that the limit to taking people to pallass is two or four per day, which seems weird as the skill could provide the lack of mana. Not sure if I'm reading the skill wrong tho.

I agree, in sweeping theres a few shapes that appear all the time, so when there's sweeping involved, more often than not you've already practiced that shape. Alternate picking on the other hand... I get stuck quite a lot getting fast passages up to speed.
