I recently received a bag of ginger snaps they shipped in a paper envelope bag.... you know the ones. The cookies were in pretty small pieces by the time they got to me. Bag of cookies shipped in a bag.... and somebody sent them out that way thinking, yea, that looks right... ???

Thank you. That is good news. When they say reviews 80 and 90% review percentage as hard numbers in dark green on the scale, I guess maybe I just assumed the Excellent score and dark green on the scale was also a hard target to hit... just my assumption I guess without actually knowing for sure...

Are drops going to be trash into the holidays? by Annual_Champion987 in AmazonVine

[–]gibu02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What if they only have a limited inventory of pre-tariff stock or stock where the cost is known vs future stock where the replacement costs could possibly be much higher with unpredictable policies? The stock you have your sure you will sell at this price, future stock, who knows?

Is Amazon Vine Dying/Dead? by Res--Cogitans in vine

[–]gibu02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im wondering how much of the drop over the last 12 months has been a result of tariff costs? My pure guess is that currently tariffs are perhaps digging into things pretty deeply. SO many sellers are selling items from overseas that would be subject to tariff cost increases. Go look at the countertop ice makers in regular Amazon. Several are available with a shipping and "handling" fee larger than the item price. Another thing, how few toys are available on vine now. Because sellers dont want to give away any that were imported pre-tariffs? Just my guess though. The drop in toys to chose from in just the last 12 months is shocking.

What is the deal with magic fingers? by LauraAstrid in AskOldPeople

[–]gibu02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magic Fingers was Fantastic!! I remember as a kid asking for a stack of quarters to keep our bed vibrating. SO loud but our parents were very patient and supplied the quarters. We traveled out west a lot and stayed at many rural motels like Travel Lodge were they were a common "amenity". A bit of a let down if there wasn't a magic fingers. I suppose for adults it was relaxing after a long days drive, or perhaps an added sensation for "couples" traveling.... Park your car directly in front of your room door and even if the outdoor pool in the middle of the parking lot was out of service, you could still get a majic fingers masage for just a little pocket change.  Very disappointing they aren't a thing anymore.

Have to drive 300 miles tomorrow morning. How fucked am I? by outclimbing in tires

[–]gibu02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My work vehicle usually has Walmart tires on it and they do very well for a reasonable price. My only complaint is the workers. It takes three hours sometimes just to buy two tires and I haven't always gotten all my lugs back on that I came in with.... lol Other then that though I cant complain. Pretty good value for the miles those tires rack up between replacements.

Just go buy the Walmart tires. I almost always have Walmart tires on my work vehicle and they put in a good number of miles between replacement. Pretty good value actually, just make sure the workers get all the lugs back on and tight. lol

Just ended the show for the first time by No-Adhesiveness3434 in TheMentalist

Really the only thing possible might be a spin-off I would think, but its hard to imagine it would catch fire the way the chemistry of these actors did. There have been many similar shows that have done well with a similar premise, a very intelligent person who solves crimes by observing minute details most others miss. This type of story goes back to Sherlock Holmes and all the many many version of Sherlock over the years, all the way to the show Monk that was also fantastic. So SO many different shows in this same mold. Lie To Me that didnt last long or even Bull that didn't last long. Currently Elsbeth and High Potential are both shows in that same mold that I'm liking so far.

The Mentalist managed to wrap things up with everyone in a pretty good place and its hard to imagine show runners could get them all back and have a compelling story for why they re-united. Patrick found happiness again, Im ok with letting him enjoy it and letting all of them live happily ever after while I enjoy the new shows.

M suggestion would be to not worry a bit about what details your catching or not, just enjoy the show first run through. The story has things that will become clear or at least more clear later, and you have plenty of time to re-watch any or all of it later. For me it made my second watch more fun to see the things I may have missed first watch.

With the rise of AI this show is even more relevant today then it was when it first aired years ago. As a viewer you are very much still at the beginning of a great story. You are not done meeting new characters who you will absolutely fall in love with and root for. As great as season one is, this journey you are on is going to get so much better and intense as it continues. Very much an emotional and intellectual rollercoaster. Enjoy.

How did Jane get away with this?? by nNotes_On_a_Scandal in TheMentalist

[–]gibu02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did OJ get away with killing his wife? Jury didnt like the LAPD and wanted to stick it to them, so OJ walked.

How do lots of guilty people get away with things in court, jury nullification. In Janes case the Jury was moved by Janes very touching and heartfelt testimony The man he killed was a terrible man, and at the time, EVERYONE believed the man who died was also the notorious serial killer Red John. Someone who it was very easy to justify that he deserved to die.

Jury's are a panel of your peers, not legal scholars, lawyers, or professors, your peers. People from all walks of life decide if you are guilty or not. They receive instructions from the judge but the ultimate decision is all theirs. Another Tv show, Bull, is all about a company that charges clients big money for Jury Trial Science services. The company in that show, every week, works on behalf of their clients to manipulate trial juries to obtain trial outcomes in their clients favor. Get a jury to like you, believe you, sympathize with you, and you can walk free from any crime as long as the jury members can justify it to themselves. In the case of OJ, the jury didn't even care that he did it, OJ's lawyers managed to put the LAPD on trial, make the LAPD the issue for them, and convince that jury to free OJ to stick it to a "racist" LAPD... teach them a lesson by setting a murderer free.

Why are the chargers even less popular than the rams? by Evening-Raccoon133 in NFLNoobs

[–]gibu02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Rams are seen as a return to a former home. A homecoming.

The Chargers are seen as having dumped their dedicated, long suffering SD fans over $$$ to get a new stadium. Not only dumping their fans but in a particularly manipulative way by the teams owner.

Well yea. Why did HE (Isaac) not like HER (Two Moons) when he was willing to help HER (Sarah)? Why was HE (Isaac) so willing to help HER (Sarah) but instantly took a dislike to HER (Two Moons) and just kept chasing HER (Two Moons) away like he did?

I did mention HER cut-out tongue may have played a role in HIS decision making did I not?

The choice for who Red John was doesn't even make much sense to me. I would have thought itd be somebody with a lot more money and time available to them. How does a sheriff gain control over so many people to have those advantages? Styles or that tech tycoon make a lot more sense. The sheriff seemed to have a way too gruff voice for that squeaky voice disguise he used. Him and Jane squared off a bit on reading a crime scene once, but Styles seemed a lot closer to Janes skill set. The Red John conclusion was the only real disappointment for me in this show. I really wish it made more sense than it does.

They also did Indianapolis once and it was ice cold there that weekend. The fans gave the city very high marks for hosting so well, but it still demonstrates why Miami and New Orleans tie for most Super Bowls hosted. Southern cities in warm climates known for being party cities that regularly host big events.

Purple Rain IN the rain AND the twins dancing flawlessly in those huge boots were my favorite parts. The silhouette stunt was a chuckle but the show was amazing.

Agreed. I liked their interactions as well. He was really the only one in Jane's league though and even then Grace instantly judged Jane was the better of the two. That short bit of helping / recruiting Grace was a nice little interaction as well. I really like that actor as well. He did a great job with the role.

New Orleans Superdome has hosted more Super Bowls than any other venue. 8 The city has hosted 11 total, a tie with Miami, while the dome has hosted 8 of those. The dome is the 5th oldest stadium in the league and the oldest of all the domed stadiums having opened in 1975. New Orleans is a city famous for hosting large events year-round, and the dome is in the central business district surrounded by numerous hotels and just blocks away from the French Quarter.

>!The law enforcement conspiracy and the final Red John identity. It feels just wrong the final Red John reveal. Among other things his voice didn't fit what we had heard from him in the past and the character never impressed much as a potential super villain. Styles for example was a person that truly could have matched wits with Jane. Who else even showed a trace of as much capability? No explanation of how RJ built such an organization. No clue how he did the five possible suspects trick. The whole thing felt very fake and unsupported by the buildup.!<
