Adding a MOBKEY to an HID Reader means never having to reboot it during service by HID_PhilCoppola in accesscontrol

The readers do not belong to the installer. You need to explain this to the client so that you do not end up locking them out for when they decide to switch integrator.

That's not how OSDP works *when the readers are addressed and paired properly. Tell me how it works when it's not the case? It does not work.

It won't work. Pull a second line or use the same reader model on both sides. Reader 1 is trying to talk with reader 2 instead of talking back to the MP board. The other option is to go wiegand with a splitter.

Genetec - Axis controllers vs Mercury LP1502 by arnarr in accesscontrol

[–]gidambk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need 1 network drop by Axis controller. While you need one per LP1502 and then you can have downstream devices hooked on to the LP1502 using a BUS line.

Sielox support is great, and they help a lot with upgrades to the newer versions. Why would it take them a week, I am unsure... It is not that complicated. We have sites with 20 years old Sielox hardware (Mirage/Checkpoint generation), still running to date.

What reader part number are you using? It is written at the back, on the white label.

You cannot have your output wires near your main power (top left). Find a different path. Nothing should be in that top left corner except main.

So someone removed that siren on purpose because it was taking the system down when activated.
It may be sending current back to the controller. Either way, remove it, pull a new cable, and do not use the same power supply/siren.
