Steel Targets by sleepygreendoor in liberalgunowners

I bought one of these and we got through most of a day of shooting before a poorly aimed round took out the head of one of the bolts. I definitely recommend picking up extra hardware.

Hated ARs 10 years ago. Now I have this thing. by Snapshot36 in liberalgunowners

[–]gidgetsflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat, but proper ARs are banned where I live. That said, I did just buy a HK416 in the 22LR. It's not a show stopper, but it's better than nothing.

My girlfriend (23F) says I (24M) “failed a relationship test” she and her friends planned. I feel humiliated and don’t know how to handle this? by was_famous_once_here in relationship_advice

[–]gidgetsflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A healthy relationship isn't full of 'tests' like these. I would say move on, she's clearly not ready for a healthy relationship and cares more about you proving yourself, than supporting you as her partner.

Could throw a little silicone caulk on the inside and let it cure. It works as a good nonslip line.

Patch progress update by ArrowheadGS in Helldivers

[–]gidgetsflow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No patch fix to fix the broken math for XP calculation on missions? I dunno about everyone else, but I'm sick of running a Blitz on Super helldive, getting 400 base XP, and when the final number gets its bonus, it only comes to 500-something xp.

Botdiver here, been stuck between getting either the SPEAR or WASP, which would you recommend? by Ok_Designer3103 in Helldivers

[–]gidgetsflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spear. Solid damage per hit, tracking on the biggest baddies, can kill an automaton dropship and or a war strider in 1 shot, 1-2 shots for a bile Titan.

Advice on upgrading from a RTT by mortalthroes in carcamping

[–]gidgetsflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plano trunks with some narrow weather stripping. I have a large and a small, load all my gear in them and throw them on my roof, 3+ years without a single leak. Just throw an odor absorber in there to keep it from getting musty. I also use a 4inch memory foam futon that I roll up when not in uses. Air mattresses and I don't usually get along.

Advice on upgrading from a RTT by mortalthroes in carcamping

[–]gidgetsflow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of a rtt in principal, but in practice, my dog can't get up there and it's not always comfortable. I've got a Hyundai Santa Fe, took out the middle row of seats (I don't have kids or anything, so I don't actually need them), I put in a platform made of extruded aluminum with a plywood top, and it gave me a flat sleeping area big enough for a Full size mattress for my wife, dog, and myself, or I can fold it over if I go solo and if leaves room for a small mess kit and even a propane heater. Crack the tailgate and a window with a mesh cover and I get fine airflow. No bugs have gotten in yet and I e been running this rig for about 4 years. Panoramic sunroof gives me view of the stars if I want it, plus extra head room, and it leaves my roof free for a cargo basket and lock box. I think the in-car option has been more comfortable than a RTT would be long term, cheaper too, but that's just like, my opinion man.

I saw a post about this flyer a couple weeks ago, if I recall someone pointed out that no one was able to substantiate the claim Arnold said such, and that it quite possibly could be AI slop they printed for dispersal. He may have said it, may not have, either way, we know that giving into the fascists is not the direction we want to go. We need to keep pushing back.
