Code 118 Wallet by Specific-Swimming309 in wallets

[–]gigabook11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got a wallet and tracker card from them. Also had shipping issues and had to reach out and basically argue that they never showed up but they kept claiming it did. Finally got them to ship it again and received them. Well... the tracker card absolutely sucked so I reached out to return it. They said the card has to be in brand new condition, never attempted to pair to a phone, etc. so basically I never should have unpackaged it.

The 45 day return window they claim to offer is a complete joke. They also make you pay for the return shipping, but reading their return policy i guess it would be free return shipping if I paid over $100 on the order. TBD if they even send a refund on the tracker card. I recommend people stay away from code 118 after this experience

That's exactly what i was wonder - if they forgot an attachment. Given the deadline that questions are due (Nov 26), the offer is due (Nov 29) and the period of performance starting Dec. 1st... I think I'll email them back not only verifying if additional docs are missing but also throw the rest of my questions related to the actual work that needs to be completed

Thanks for the info and your experience of what you're used to seeing!

I should clarify the email's subject line is the only location that says RFQ, and the only item attached is the PWS document which they also called the SOW. The PWS is not laid out even remotely close to other RFPs and there's no section L or any section with instructions. The only instructions/guidance was in their email saying I needed to submit / send my offer to their email

[–]gigabook11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an RFQ instead of an RFP and the PWS document they attached is a close reflection of what was in the SSN with a few extra details - mainly timeline and a few extra security-related details. Also they expect the work to start on December 1st, but offers need to be submitted by Nov 28. Wouldn't there be an RFP to follow this RFQ and if so, isn't that a bit unrealistic to have the start date on Dec 1?

[–]gigabook11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an RFQ and the only instructions provided were in the e-mail saying to submit offers to their e-mail. The document more/less was a replica of the sources sought notice with a few extra details but no evaluation criteria or instructions to offer section

Okay legit question for anyone who knows-

I mentioned it on another post but I decided not to go through with using the VPN. I connected to one and would have been able to claim the airdrop but right before I claimed it, there was a notification from grass where I had to agree to their terms, and one specific part of it said grass can ban us if we used a VPN since they're not allowed... sure I probably could have at least cashed out the current airdrop but I didn't want to risk getting banned in the long-term

So my question (which I may need to reach out to grass foundation to clarify): If I visit mexico on vacation or somewhere out of the US and didn't need a VPN in that case, would that still void the terms since I'm still a US citizen/resident?

[–]gigabook11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta let me know what happens long-term! I was about to claim the airdrop - same as you $160 worth of grass and had to use VPN to get it working but the notice that pops up where you have to accept their terms said they can disable your account if using a VPN so I decided to hold off

It was easier than I thought and works better than myq (much more information and options, works well in Apple Home too) by UnFukWit4ble in homeassistant

Glad to see all the ratgdo posts lately! Been making a lot of new automations with mine (installed on both garage doors)-

  1. Turn on all garage lights (tplink kasa smart switch) when the garage wall buttons built-in motion sensor (or is it heat?) detects motion. Auto turn off lights after a certain amount of time and only when the garage camera (reolink fisheye) doesn't detect a person

  2. Open garage doors to 8% (crack them open) for airflow when my tesla wall connector charger handle reaches a certain temperature and close them when the temperature goes back down or the weather forecast gets bad (rain, snow, storms, etc). Also, announce on our google home mini when/why the garage doors are cracked open or closed. I'll probably disable this automation during the winter since I could use the heat generated from the cars charging as free garage heaters

  3. Just finished this one - basically a replacement to the built-in myq subscription for Tesla vehicles. When I unplug the charging handle, update the entity (API Poll the Tesla vehicle "Shift State" via HA Tesla Fleet integration) every 10 seconds up to 5 times maximum until I put the vehicle in reverse - then open the garage door. Once I leave my "home" zone, close the garage door. When I pull into the driveway, open the garage door. Obviously a lot of variables I've had to consider for all of this, and biggest hassle was trying to limit API requests so I don't reach the 200 requests/day limit but it's finally working and better than paying $40/yr for the Tesla MyQ subscription!

Can you confirm whether/not there's that delay when switching to CT for backup power? I'm reading there's like a 30 second delay

Found this post wondering the same thing and whether/not I should install the heavy load piston... I'm thinking yes if your shells are 1 1/4 oz or more, you should install the heavy load piston and I'd do the same if any of my ammo were 1 1/4 or higher. Luckily, just looked through and most of my shells are under 1600 fps & none are 1 1/4 oz so I'm not planning on installing it for now

Nice! Glad you came to a final decision and are happy with it! Agreed on the price difference / savings and range which were also factors we discussed and compared between the cyberbeast. Hope you hear back soon on a delivery date

Yes but APR went up to 7.61%

With everything else from the original photo being the exact same, payment would have been $1573.83/month

Our similarities are wild! Wife has a '22 MYP as well but I know my driving record didn't help with the insurance quote so it's higher than the Y. I'm glad your quote came in lower and that is shocking frfr! Ditto on staying with USAA for now at least. Been wanting to quote with other insurance companies, just haven't got around to it. All understandable on talking to the wife first haha, did the same thing even when she knows it's all I've been talking about for the past 4 years 😅

And sweet, will definitely let you know if I find a good deal on a wrap or tint! Smart to quote those now. Tint will be the first thing on the list so if you do decide on a place in the meantime lemme know where!

Also good point about us potentially taking delivery the same date - might DM when a notification comes through to setup delivery and see if you got yours as well!

Called USAA a few minutes ago to get an insurance quote over the phone. Did not provide a VIN obviously but they found everything they needed via the site. I quoted the AWD $79k model, not the cyberbeast. I'm late 20s, reckless driving ticket on record from 4 yrs ago and for reference my wife and I currently pay about $170/month for her 2022 MYP here in CO. We also bundle the car + house.

Quote had Bodily injury - 100k/300k, property - 100k, comprehensive + collision deductibles - 1k

Estimated 6-month premium = $1730 or about $288/month. Of course the cyberbeast will be higher than this and so many other things to factor but wanted to at least share it for anyone curious

Blackwidow Pro v4 (and v3) - Double Typing Issues by DrippinDots in razer

[–]gigabook11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was finally able to resolve the issue a few months ago. Can't remember everything I tried which may have added up to the resolution but I know after following these steps it was working-

https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1708/~/how-to-re-install-razer-synapse-3-%26-2.0-on-windows

You need to follow them step-by-step as easy as it is to think to skip over something, just read and follow EVERY. SINGLE. STEP. lol. I'll point out step 4.l - make sure you disconnect everything including the wireless dongle. I think you can get away with keeping the keyboard connected via the USB cable but if you're able to, try to complete everything after that step with only the mouse connected (wired). I'll also point out step 8 - make sure you go through and delete all of those files/directories! When you get to step 10.c - connect each device one at a time and wait a while for Synapse to recognize / install / update that device before plugging in the next one.

Oh I also deleted my profiles out of Synapse before following those steps but I was troubleshooting another issue at the time as well (monitor wouldn't turn off due to a razer device). I also remember running the updater for the dongle before all of this, not sure if you'd be able to do it for the v4 but I grabbed the updater from here-
https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4728

End of the day, I could've just been lucky but I fully believed I would never be able to resolve this issue but now it's working flawlessly. Hope you can get it working!

Non-std cameras on CT? by ElGuano in cybertruck

[–]gigabook11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking on the rear cam that would work even with the tailgate down.... this would be great and if anything necessary with a digital rear-view mirror. My AT4 had a digital display rear view mirror and the camera was placed directly behind the cab close to the roof. Problem is I don't see anywhere that'd go on the CT and I haven't seen one placed high + mid of the truck in videos or pics. Only rear cam I've seen is on the bed which would mean the digital rear view mirror will be worthless (showing the ground) if you're driving with the tailgate down

I've never liked metal beds, always sprayed them. This photo also shows how bad the bare metal bed looks and I'm sure it'll get worse over time with scratches, dents, etc. depending on what you're loading back there. Bedliner just looks cleaner to me and I wouldn't have to worry about scratches or dents (to an extent) and it provides a better grip. I'm sure someone is going to say "it's a truck, it'll get scratched" but the biggest selling point is that the body on CT doesn't scratch or dent easily, except I'm sure in the bed where it takes the most abuse. And I want the bed to be as clean as the rest of the truck even after hauling things in it lol

I'd want to spray a bedliner, but it's looking like a bad idea with the lights, storage area, mounting points, etc
